Mike Freeman from CBS sports line wrote an article recently about pot use in the NFL. Former player Jamal Anderson was quoted as saying that "roughly 60% of players use weed". I don't know how he knows that, but that's a big number. If he's anywhere close to that statistic, that's pretty amazing. It also said players know when they'll be tested, and that's how they don't get caught.

I understood Wilkerson skipping OTA's, he was in a contract dispute. I could even understand Devin Smith skipping out on Mini Camp because he was about to have a baby, though it does bother me that he had the baby a week after Mini Camp ended. But there was absolutely no excuse for this fat bag of sh*t to be skipping out on OTA's when we have a new coach implementing a new system. That was pure selfishness, and don't give me this "I want to spend time with my family" bulls*t. Anyway, now we have a better idea why fatso and his big mouth suddenly became irresponsible.

On second thought why bother showing up for training camp at all, might as well spend time with your family, thats the important thing, and we'll see you in October.
Mo's leverage just got better... AS for SR he is foolish and maybe down right stupid esp. if he knows he going to be tested. Its to bad but the rules are the rules but he chose to ignore them, so sit and hopefully learn from the 2nd mistake... if not you'll confirm my last comment.
This guy is a jackass with a big head and a chip on his shoulder, and that spells BAD NEWS going forward, because now he is firmly planted on the strict monitoring list and he will be tested out the wazoo for the rest of his career (which may not be very long), and frankly I have zero confidence that this dumbass won't get popped again.
If we could trade him tomorrow for a first round pick, I would do it in a heartbeat, but I don't see anyone giving us a first round pick for a guy who is now in the leagues drug program and a guy who thinks he's Mean f**king Joe Greene and can't stop talking about being the highest paid player ever.
Pretty sure this would have to have been his third mistake.
First positive test is no penalty but must attend substance abuse counseling.
2nd positive is fine but no suspension.
3rd positive is 4 game suspension.
4th would be 10 games.
This assumes you complete substance abuse counseling -- otherwise 2nd positive is a suspension.
So, either he failed 3 tests, or failed 2 and skipped out on counseling. Either way 3 mistakes. It is in his best interest to make sure there is no 4th.

I would like to commend Jets fans, as it seems pretty much universally, we are down on Richardson for doing this.
If he were a Patriot, I am guessing the owner would have shouted about deserving an apology, and the fans would have denied the whole thing, insisting the league falsified the results because Goodell hates their team.

I was thinking the same thing, sack, and you know what, if Brady gets his suspension lifted or limited, Richardson should immediately appeal his suspension, lawyer up, hire that Kessler d-bag, tell the NFLPA he expects the same kind of vigorous defense they gave Tom Brady, including an appeal hearing that lasts 12 hours, where they challenge the results of this failed test from every conceivable angle including the effects a mosquito bite might have if said mosquito is carrying weed positive blood from his last victim, and I want a team of scientists too, to validate his bulls*t. Lastly Jets fans will have to picket the league office and the NY media will have to join in the chorus, but we might have trouble with those last two because Jets fans are not delusional homers, nor is the NY media (to put it mildly).
