Practice ends with long TD pass, Bryce Petty to Walt Powell. No INTs for Geno Smith. That makes four straight days. #nyj
Good for him.

SupahGood for him.
Too bad we are about to cut him...
Cutting him was probably never a possibility. Is there a bet on this? I want in, easy money!

Only if we don't want another year of the worst QB in the NFL ruining a season and getting coaches and GMS shitcanned.
You can't replace the whole terrible team in one year. There's plenty in the organization who have said without saying, that the regime is not happy with geno, but are doing their due diligence. They got a qb who can step in if geno plays like geno, and a project pick in petty. If that coach chooses to play him over what you think is a better option, and that GM doesn't do his best to secure a better option at QB...then wouldn't you want them fired? This GM and coach is moving ahead with geno as of today...cant imagine you're too happy with that...but this GM and coach is making that decision. With Gaily on board, they had every excuse to go to Fitz...but they prefer Geno. Again, I'd think you'd be first in line to fire Bowles and Mac...they picked Geno so far. They didnt draft him, they have no reason to back him...but they are...
I have been at training camp for three days that are open to the public. Here's a few things I noticed.
I have been impressed with Chris Owusu and Shaq Evans. Owusu has great speed, can beat defenders and has good hands. Evans has great hands and has been impressive so far. Looks like the Jets have a solid WR core. Walter Powell was impressive today, he used his speed to beat defender and caught the ball. Enunwa, beat Milliner for a touchdown.
Like Geno Smith has developed good chemistry with Brandon Marshall, it seems like Bryce Petty is starting to develop good chemistry with Amaro. Petty has a great arm, but still needs time to develop. Geno Smith had a great practice Saturday, he made smart decisions, used his legs, and threw the ball away. Fitzpatrick made some nice throws as well.
Watch out Ridley. Daryl Richardson has flashed his speed and has been doing fairly well during training camp. Zac Stacy is like a little bowling ball. Fun to watch, explosive, and is great running inside. Chris Ivory did well and Powell did well. Showed speed, caught from the backfield and showed some speed.
Cumberland's blocking has improved and Amaro showed he can block. Cumberland had most of the starting reps, but Amaro also started to get reps with the first team. Wes Saxton is a big physical target who made some nice catches and is fast.

I am hopeful that geno pulls all he's learned together, but being great in the classroom, and performing when the lights go on, are drastically different things. And being a realist doesn't mean I want geno to fail, I just don't suddenly forget everything I've seen geno do.
I'm not worried about our future, we have enough at qb to get through this year, and if geno doesn't workout, I trust mac daddy to make strong moves next season.

Very interesting to see what you said about Shaq. Most people have said he's strugglef holding onto the ball. Have you noticed?
I thought that was very weird he said that too. At one point they joked he had more drops than catches.
Yea --- KRL said the same thing so it might be something.
