I will say this not being huge but on the larger side 6'1" about 275 these later years it it usually the smaller guy who throws the 1st punch usually for that exact reason. Smaller or not shots to the ears eyes nose or throat hurt especially from a strong armed QB
maybe it's the cynic in me, but i'm guessing that if geno were a better QB and a more popular player with the fans, that we wouldn't be hearing how geno "assaulted" IK and IK "acted in self-defense"
i'm also curious why there are reports that the league will likely punish IK for the incident (assuming he makes a roster), but haven't heard a peep about geno being punished. one would think someone who "assaulted" another player would be subject to discipline.

Using anything the NFL does or does not do regarding punishment to back up an argument is flawed IMO
I am man enough to say I would feel unsafe if 135 lb Ronda Rousey was in my face point her finger and yelling at me. So I have no idea exactly what was doing through IKs mind.

plus even some of us jet fans knew about IK being kinda "touched" but all of that was lost on the "village idiot" who felt justified "big timing" the kid because he was having a solid camp?? I take that back.. I believe this dope would still have tried to show up IK in front of the team because that just seems to fit his MO.. a damn fool!!

That's good news. I've heard about the surgery and his jaw not being wierd shut but didn't hear about the changed time table for his return. Any link?
Ready for week 1, how in the hell does it go from possibly being ready by mid-season to week 1?
Do not anticipate problems with cadence, snap count or changing plays at line of scrimmage for GENO SMITH @nyjets by week 1.

Geno doesn't do any one of those things correctly with a working jaw so he probably won't be any worse with a broken one

Geno Smith is an A$$hole. He's a scumbag, a real POS.
In no way do I condone IK's actions. He should have been cut. But it's clear to me and it should be to everyone else also, that Geno decided to stiff one of his very own teammates. Geno does not realize or acknowledge what he's been told over and over again. He has a higher responsibility. With that responsibility it is incumbent for Geno to show integrity/honesty toward his teammates and set the right example.
He did not do that here. He took the very shallow and extremely immature way out. And that's how you arrive at knowing Geno Smith is a POS.
Try not to spin things because you are a Jets fan. Just acknowledge that just like everything else, things do not always run smoothly. They may not run smoothly because you have the wrong guy on your team. He upsets the chemistry of the team. Geno is a problem here. The sooner people realize that and acknowledge it, the sooner we can realize what we need to do to move forward and fix it.
