I don't think so. I think the appeal is whether Goodell followed the CBA correctly. The CBA gives the commissioner complete authority in cases of conduct detrimental to the game. I think [MENTION=9]flgreen[/MENTION] is right, the judge is biased pro-labor and failed to judge the case on the basis on which it should have been judged. Lots of lawyer types say the ruling would be reversed if appealed.

It isn't enough that a judge simply rule in a manner that upholds the law. He has to make new law as he goes along.
Yep. The appeals floodgates are now open. Not only that, how about lawsuits based on previous rulings? Any reason, for example, Sean Payton shouldn't sue for lost wages, plus defamation?

Thinking about it for awhile. Decision was made at the end of last season.
I'll still go to 3 or 4 games via stubhub but won't have to deal with preseason and will get back 70 percent, maybe more if it's a good season of my sunken PSL fees.

This ruling and Kraft/Brady antics in bringing this suit ... have now created a league environment with no rules, and each questionable event will be settled in a court of law .... Goodbye NFL.

If you don't like the Commish handing down discipline to you, discipline he's fully entitled to hand down, just go over his head and get an activist judge to side with you. It doesn't matter if you lied, destroyed evidence, and refused to cooperate with the investigation. It doesn't matter that almost every ball was deflated. It doesn't matter that your organization has a history of corruption.
You can weasel your way out of it!

Just start the season. The world knows he cheated and even though Brady doesn't think so, but the damage has been done in all eyes except for Pats fans. I want Brady here when we beat his ass. I don't even care anymore.
When he gets inducted in the HOF all Jets fans should go and just chant CHEATER through his whole speech. I would pay for a ticket to do that.

Actually, I believe all cheaters, liars, crooks and thugs should get punished. Whether they're a Jet, Patriot, or Raider.
It would be hypocritical to say Brady got over on the system and then say Sheldon Richardson should get off, too. Wrong is wrong.
I cannot see the league appeal going anywhere. The ship has sailed. This has nothing to do with whether Brady cheated or not. This became all about the process.

Exactly - the judge never said anything about Brady being guilty or innocent of anything - he went after the NFL and how they handled things.
