Who cares? He's a PUNK. A real POS. I hope the Jets fire him at the end of the season.
He's a23 year old member of this team and should be treated with respect. Save the trash for the oter teams. I don't get the hate? He's a young man who hasn't played up to expectations. He didn't rape a kid or murder anyone... those are the folks who deserve your animosity.
You're better than that.

He may not have murdered anyone, but.............
He did attack a 72 YO man from behind, and tried to knock him to the ground. When his 48 YO son arrived on the scene, he ran.
I'll root for his #, but he'll never get any respect from me.

Indeed he did, he has shown a lack of maturity and an arrogance on and off the field, i.e., firing his agent when selected, giving the finger to a fan, missing meetings - at least one we know of - , do I need to continue?
He is worthless and should be traded but I sincerely doubt that there is any mark for a QB who has his his head up his per-verbal ass in most games.
Again. Let's not fabricate history. Geno not playing at this juncture is the right call. But Geno was the starter before he got hurt. And that call was made by the head coach. You know, that guy who knows a lot about football, more than you and I, and gets paid to do that. Sometimes you really understand why we are called fans
With all due respect, that same coach has not placed Geno back into the starting line up as he realized that Fitz, as limited as he is, gives this offense a stable leader in which the whole team can trust minus the drama.
That decision was made due to the injury. That is not debatable. Bowles made that clear from the start, immediately after the incident. It was the right call. It was not made after watching Fitz play. That is a made up story

i think that was mostly due to:clapping-bravo-smil they weren't sure how fitz would be coming off the injury so it was kinda by default as fitz would have beat him out in pre-season anyway.
How do I face palm ?
When Geno was injured, Fitz was completely healthy, taking all second team reps. Thus, he stepped right in and began taking all first team reps. All! Completely fine . Please , stop making things up

i believe if fitzpatrick, at 3-1 gets benched for smith, bowles would lose all credibility/respect in his locker room..My best friend where I work is also a huge Jets fan. He can't wait and is advocating that Geno start. He says that the offense is way too predictable and Geno has a much stronger arm. Fitz throws a long ball and the receiver have to stop allowing the defender to catch up. He claims when Geno throws the long ball, he throws it hard enough that receivers will be able to catch the ball in stride.
He hopes Fitz gets benched soon.
Is this what you guys see? Because I got to tell you I don't. Geno may have a stronger arm, but he's terribly inaccurate with that arm. Because of his accuracy problems, I do not see his arm as an advantage. I also think that if he becomes the starter the turnovers will immediately get out of control.
Fitz is protecting the ball rather well right now. Not great, but pretty good. He has a positive TD to INT ratio. Geno has never had a positive ratio. Geno has never protected the ball. He's actually quite careless with the ball.
He also claims Geno is a threat with his feet. However, I saw Fitz run for a few 1st downs just last weekend.
I do not see any gain or advantage by starting Geno. In fact, I see things going very badly.
But as my friend said, GENO was winning the QB competition hands down in training camp.
So what do you think? Even if Geno offered a whole lot of benefits by starting (which he doesn't), but if he did, I still do not believe starting him right now would bbe the right judgment call. Fitz is the starter right now and IMO he hasn't done anything to LOSE the starting job. What do you think?
