What is it with you and guy's with the last name Smith? His arm is strong, but his ability to read defenses, playmaking, decision making and leadership is all very much in question. That all goes into his "talent" makeup. The fact that people agree with that statement goes to show you that the homerisim is strong on these boards.
Clearly you aren't reading my comment properly.... So I'll break it down so you can understand
1. I DO NOT LIKE GENO..... CUT HIM FOR ALL I CARE
2. IF, very big IF, he has any value as an NFL QB he is going to need to mature by sitting down and learning from the bench..
3. Do I think Geno will be a valuable QB in the NFL as a backup or starter anywhere. NO!!!
I am not sure how you read any kind of homerism in my post but clearly you read something entirely different than my point. Below is my original post... I'll highlight the statements that put the context of my NON HOMERISM and no love for geno in BOLD..
I'm no fan of Geno... But this is what he needed... His talent is unquestioned... one thing and one thing only will get Geno to be a starter again. Sitting and learning...... If he learns and matures he has value.
Will his value be more then Bryce Petty's to us next year or the year after... I doubt it.. But he is worth keeping around this year..
