I think in 2 weeks the Jets have a real chance to be 5-1
That sounds a lot like Jerry Krause and the Bulls management thinking they were the keys to the team and played hardball with the players breaking up the Bulls dynasty.
While general managers and coaching is very important, players like revis come around once in a blue. They are more important and need a team built around them. Your boy Belichik was nothing until Mo Lewis.

They may have broken up the dynasty, but they're also the reason the dynasty existed in the first place.
Not one player in ANY sport ever "did it all by himself". They all needed the right support system around them, and only competent management gets that done. Just think of the overwhelming amount of HOF talent that got "wasted" because management couldn't put a team around it.
I'll take an elite coach/GM over an elite talent any day of the week, because the coach is WAY more likely to raise the level of the player than vice-versa . . .

Cant wait to see Sheldon on the pitch with the defense wrecking havoc. This defense has just gotten beyond ridiculous. The offense is as healthy as ever with every weapon at full strength. Gonna be a fun 2nd part to this season.
Especially at the QB position: Bowles has stated many times during his pressers that Fitz MUST cut down on his turnovers. I honestly hate to see Geno play, but if Fitz continues to chuck it up and we begin to lose, i feel he will get yanked in Favor of Smith.
Cross our fingers and lets hope Fitz can provide what he has given this team the past 4 weeks, a chance to win at the game.

An EXTREMELY mediocre Mark Sanchez took us further than his numbers would EVER have predicted his first two years, yet he did just enough to "stay out of the way" and got us within 1 game of the SB.
If Geno has any future here whatsoever, I hope he makes it SO clear during practice that the coaches can't help but notice. Otherwise, I don't see him going in without an implosion happening first, which obviously means I hope he doesn't play another down in 2015 . . .
On point as usual man.
With the defense we have here, Fitz fits the perfect mold of Dilfer and Brad Johnson. Just elongate drives. Sustain to drain the clock and not turn the ball over. Unfortunatley, the latter part is what possibly is giving Geno a slight chance to creep into Bowles mind for a chance at a switch.
I'am hoping Gailey and the QB coach have worked hard with Fitz this past week to correct those off timing routes with Devin Smith in which that huge part of our offense hasnt even been tapped into yet.
Speaking of Gailey, he knows what he has in Fitz. Unfortunatley, Ryan has had a pattern with his career. Normally the guy starts off very good and wins. Though by the 2nd part of the season, he some how falls apart. He did it with the Bills as an opening day starter and he did it with Houston last season.
I'am sure there will be some tweaking within the offensive scheme to prohibit him from actually costing us the game and quite possibly rely more on Chris Ivory.
If Chan can some how follow the 2009 Jets model as you pointed earlier, run run and more run, especially how much more talented this defense is, we can be deep in the playoffs fellas. Obviously there will be times he will be asked to throw and thats fine. With the physical wide outs we have, they can snatch a near interception from being picked.
The key is though, not to place the game in Fitz's hands or we will be seeing "Mike Tyson FLoor kisser" very soon. That will itself will bring another problematic issue that will have no answer to it.
This is the scenario that's seemingly always been a big letdown for the Jets. They're flying high, and heading into a matchup against a decimated team they should beat, and... whammo! They lay an egg.
All the advantages are in our favor: home game, coming off a bye week, we're healthy and they're banged up badly, and the Jets are a better team overall.
So why am I worried about this game? Call it years of being a Jets fan. I've seen this horror show before, and I really hope it doesn't happen today.

COuld not agree more brother. There was talk early last week that the NFL may try to push back the Jets/Pats game to 4:25pm next Sunday. I think they squashed it. They will be leaving it at 1pm.
1st things 1st, do like Colombus and demolish those Redskins.
