This is the scenario that's seemingly always been a big letdown for the Jets. They're flying high, and heading into a matchup against a decimated team they should beat, and... whammo! They lay an egg.

All the advantages are in our favor: home game, coming off a bye week, we're healthy and they're banged up badly, and the Jets are a better team overall.

So why am I worried about this game? Call it years of being a Jets fan. I've seen this horror show before, and I really hope it doesn't happen today.

COuld not agree more brother. There was talk early last week that the NFL may try to push back the Jets/Pats game to 4:25pm next Sunday. I think they squashed it. They will be leaving it at 1pm.

1st things 1st, do like Colombus and demolish those Redskins.

The Jets should win this game. Normally, I would call this a rather close matchup. I think the Skins offense and our offense are approximately equal. Their defense is not as good as ours, but they are very good.

But given the injuries on the Redskins, the Jets have no excuse for losing this game. The Skins are missing their best WR, two of their starting linemen, and their best corner. That's decimating for any team. The Jets have to take advantage of this.
