Where is Ivory? Is he hurt?
Give this team credit.
It took 30 minutes for them to get the bye week out of their systems, and I have no doubt Bowles read them the riot act at halftime, but they came out in the second half with a real sense of purpose and put the absolute wood to the Redskins ... and Fitzpatrick might have his limitations, but Mike Martz is right, the dude is a competitor, he maximizes his ability, and that 20 Yard scramble into the end-zone, dude looked like Marcus Allen. I might have to alter my all-time RB's list.![]()
Special teams is a joke.
Our crowd is a joke. The crowd is empty.
HYATT™;59677 said:You clearly are not familiar with the talent in GB's secondary.
Check them out. You'll come away impressed.
THE SHIELD, similar in style to MEvis.
Both rookies, Randall & Rollins, are ball hawking close cover guys who can stick with anyone.
Hyde has become an impressive SAF subbing for Burnett & while Ha Ha hasn't been quite the FS HYATT™ wanted, has still been sharp as tacks for the most part (still has some tackling issues to clean up).
Casey Hayward is finally back playing near 100% after an injury off-year, similar to what Cro went through.
Gunter may be the cherry of the crop of UDFAs though. MAN can that kid hurt people.
Big, strong, fast, young, (cheap LOL), and talented beyond belief across the board.
The only real difference is that the Jets secondary has name recognition, being older guys than GB's - AND, all 6 are all playing for a cap number smaller than MEvis' salary alone.
THE SHIELD is the only one making any bank at all.
Is it really fair to say we "came out flat"?
I didn't see the Redskins moving up and down the field at will on us. I didn't see them "bullying" us on both sides of the ball. I didn't really see them do ANYTHING if it wasn't predicated by a Jet TO by our best two offensive weapons (Ivory notwithstanding).
If we have to worry about Decker/Marshall's mindset, we have bigger problems than beating a depleted Redskin team. I'm assuming both plays were flukes and not indicative of an unfocused mindset. IMO the second half showed what we can do when we're hitting on all cylinders, and the first half showed that even at our "worst" we're still in the game (which was true against Philly as well) . . .
