Nate Solder out for the season

Patriots LT Nate Solder will miss the rest of the season with a torn bicep.

Solder's injury was initially labeled as an elbow issue, so this comes as a big surprise. It's a huge loss for New England, even if Solder wasn't playing that well on Tom Brady's blind side. Look for Marcus Cannon to step in at left tackle, as the Patriots continue to sort out the interior of their offensive line. Solder just signed a two-year, $20.62 million extension through 2017 last month

This is why i hate the Patriots. I don't understand how they are able to plug anyone in and move on without missing a beat. They even did it when Brady went down and Cassell had to step in.

A real pass rusher could cause some damage to them but I agree. Speed up the QBs timing clock just a little bit and that could throw them off.

Problem with the Pats is Brady gets rid of the ball so fast most of the time. Lots or quick hits and screens. If you can shutnthat down then they are in trouble. Easier said than done.

This is why it will seem like they won't miss solder.

Speed off the edge doesn't do much against them. Pressure up the middle is the only way to get to him. Time for Richardson to earn some forgiveness

Even last week with Hardy rushing Brady worked. Too bad the Cowboys have no offense to put any pressure on the pats

Dallas actually did pretty well with speed off the edge last week for the whole first half up until Hardy got gassed and McDaniels made adjustments. Think Brady was sacked 5 times...

Dallas uncharacteristically opened up the game playing dime with press coverage and a four man rush which took away the quick throws and screens. Then after the half the Pats switched to Blount up the gut and started stacking the receivers and doing quick rub plays which opened up the game for the blowout.

I'm really interested to see how Bowles attacks them, especially now that he's got the a full deck with Richardson's back .

In all seriousness there is very little tolerance for mistakes on that team, and move folks out pretty quickly if they don't perform. So it seems that they can plug just about anyone in and have continued success. Losing Solder will no doubt impact them, but BB and TB will find a way to minimize their exposure with him being out. It's always interesting to see how they make those sort of adjustments. I can't believe I actually gave that cheating scumbag props.

At some point you have to have players. You can only patch up so much. This a huge hit to that line. If you move all your best payers to tackle, they are out of position, and the interior is taking a huge hit. They were already showing holes before this hit
