BUT, if by chance, we did beat the Patsies? Can you imagine how BIG that will be for this team?
Honestly, when was the last time the Jets actually beat a team with a winning record? It's been a long time that I recall...Sometime in 2013 I believe.
Beating the Patsies not only confirms that we beat a team with a winning record, it also confirms that we beat last years SB champs.
A team that I believe will go UNDEFEATED this season.
If the Jets beat them, it would be HUGE on so many levels.
Nov 2014 Jets beat the 11-5 Steelers. Was the last time the Jets bet a winning team.
Not that it matters. The 2014 Jets were a very bad team, with almost no talent. They spent a few dollars, in the off season. Actually got some DB's. And a major improvement at QB.
Rex is gone, new coach, new GM new attitude.
As far at the turn overs go. The Jets are ranked 5th in the give away, take away with a +5
The Pats are ranked 7th with a +3. The #1 is a +6. Advantage Jets. The argument certainly can be made that if that trend continues, the Jets win.
This is a much improved team over the one that was out there last year, and with that, over the last 4 meetings between them, the Pats are 3-1. By a whooping total of 3 points.
Of course this is an important game. It's a division rival. The fact that they won the Super bowl, that they shouldn't have been in , has no impact on the game at all.
It would be very nice to win this game, but the hype machine is gone. Bowles is right. Winning this game won't make the season, and losing won't break it.
