You can see how much his teammates like him and why. Jet fans can complain about his limitations all they want, but Bowles would have a mutiny on his hands if he made a switch cause Fitz has completely won over he locker-room. That could change if we start losing, but right now if you secretly polled the team he would get at least a 95% vote of approval.

fitz magic it's for real and it is about being a leader which trumps his arm strength by far.

Thanks for posting. Two things stick out to me after watching this.

Fitz is extremely calm and really non chalant about the mistakes that occur.
Geno looks like a team player. He was cheering on Fitz and always by him side.

Great video.

Dyer did pole the skill position players anonymously. All of then had reactions like "Are you crazy? Fitz is the man." None wanted a switch. You could just see after both the Marshall circus catch and run for a TD, and Fitz's 18 yard TD run the team really loves him.

Fitz might not have elite QB skills, but there is no question, he is a tough guy, a very strong leader, and this is Fitz's team.

BTW did any one notice Marshall thinking about lateraling again at about the 3:40 mark? Nobody was there. Marshall's a great player, but he has to stop that LOL

This is Fitzpatrick's team.

yeah exactly this is his team and if they can keep him injury free he could have the best season he has ever had.

The best thing the jets can do is give fitz this season and next to be the starter and let petty learn and take over in 2017.

Well after Fitz gets the team a ring this year, it will be very difficult to replace him next year. :)

Not as good as the one posted by dbarrett, but another fun video with Fitz and Decker.

I noticed this too. Great sign. Maybe there is still hope for him. At least he could end up being a quality backup for us.

I said it before but I see Vinny T in '98 with Fitz. This team has a ton of talent to go with the chemistry.

Piggy backing off of that last statement. I really like how Geno, even on the bench is maturing. Sure i have been very critical of him, but that is because i have felt the organization screwed the kid by throwing him out to the wolves and what ever he did he wouldnt be benched, even for too long. Thus, he felt he was untouchable.

With that being said, Geno riding the bench is learning these important aspects that he was completely clueless about before Fitz came into the equation:

-Be a professional. Don't add any unwarranted drama into the locker room.

-Study the plays with your players on the side lines and not just throw a towel over your head on the bench until the offense is called up again.

-Be smart all around and don't let one play destroy the mood of the game.

-Be even keel and heed the counsel of your head coach, who this time knows what the hell he's talking about.

Look, i like FItzpatrick, but history has shown us that sooner or later, the wheels will come off. He demonstrated that up in Buffalo and down west in Houston. I hope i'am wrong, but if that does happen, i truly hope Geno is chomping at the bit to redeem himself and continue this outstanding momentum we got going.

This team over all looks like it can go a long way this season. Those "Building" years aren't even an after thought at this point.

I did not get the sense that Geno was a team player from that video. Because he's always by Fitz side, that makes him a team player???? That makes no sense. Geno Smith had two exclusive seasons to demonstrate his leadership skills and he ultimately failed miserably. Not only on the field, but also as a person in general.

Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith are 100% polar opposites.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the kind of guy you want to root for.

Geno Smith is the kind of guy you want to root against.

History hasn't been kind to Geno or the Jets for that matter. I don't see the wheels coming off Fitz because his stats right now aren't much different than his career numbers. He will throw TD's and interceptions but he now has a top defense, top run game and a go to receiver. Geno's problem is he hasn't played well because many fans put up with immature players, or players with drug problems and off the field issues if they are playing great.
