Steelers vs Broncos game is a win win for us either way. If there is a 4 way tie at 11-5, KC will win West, Steelers will be #5 seed and we will be #6 with Broncos out.

I'm gonna say it right now, my biggest fear is not NE next week.
Conventional wisdom says they are the best of our two remaining opponents, therefore it should be the tougher game to win, but I am supremely confident the Jets will beat the Patriots next week. Its Buffalo the following week that scares me.
Reason being, I can't see the Pats ENDING OUR SEASON in OUR BUILDING when we are playing for our lives and they are playing for seeding. Not to minimize the importance of seeding, but there's no way they can match our intensity next week in front of 70,000 rabid Jets fans when our lives are on the line and they probably get a TOP 2 Seed even if they lose. I'm not suggesting they are going to lay down for us, we'll have to be at the top of our game to beat them, but I expect a maniacal effort from the Jets next week and a W.
Thats why I'm so worried about Buffalo the following week, because its hard to sustain that level of intensity two weeks in a row, its very hard to stay on that kind of emotional high for two straight weeks, but thats what will probably be required because make no mistake about it, Rex will have his team whipped up into a frenzy to destroy our season on the final week, and this one is in their building.
So IMO we're gonna beat NE next week in front of one of the most rabid crowds in a very long time, that energy is going to permeate the team and we are going to win this game, I just pray we can play at that same level of intensity on the road in Buffalo, cause if we don't, its unlikely we win that game.

I'm not worried about the Bills. Who cares. I actually think his team doesn't respond much to him. They already experienced what our team experienced with him after year 3. All that talk doesn't bring you wins, put up or shut up. They've shit him out.

Maybe you should include an asterisk in your negative declarations about the Jets so we know its just meant to put the moloik on our opponent

As you said I'm a newbie rookie here and am just beginning to get a feel for things
None of us know what is going to happen the next three games. When we are 10-5 then we can worry about who to root for. If we play like we did last night we won't see 10-5 anyway. I know almost every scenario that could happen and there are way too many to worry about especially this week. Maybe next week we can all start worrying who to root for. Until then we have plenty worry about with the Jets. I will be watching two games today since those are the only ones that matter this week. If Steelers and KC both win then the scenarios expand to a few other teams.
I have my ups and downs for sure and sometimes it is the only way I can stay sane with this franchise. The Cowboys to me are the Giants to most Jet fans. I still think this team will have a really hard time getting to 11-5. I will be really disappointed if they don't get there, but I don't really expect them to either. The season is a great building block for next year and thats what is important. We have zero control over our playoff destiny. We beat my most hated team and get a chance to beat the next and very close to most hated team for me in the Pats. And then we get revenge on Rex. I can handle going 11-5 and not making the playoffs. I could not handle losing to the Cowboys.

Well, we have officially fallen out of the 6 Seed and now we need help. There's NO CHANCE the Ravens are beating the Steelers next week, they can barely field a football team, half their team is on the IR, so the best we can hope for is that "Johnny Football" makes an appearance at home next week and knocks off the Chiefs.
Denver doesn't have to lose both games, not if KC wins out.
If KC wins out and Denver loses one of their remaining two, KC wins the division on the basis of a better division record.
They split H2H so it falls to division record, in which case KC wins the division.
In that case if the Jets win out and Denver loses one game, the Jets would get the #6 Seed and Denver would be the odd team out based on conference records. Denver would be 7-5 in the conference, the Jets would be 8-4, so the Jets would be IN and the Broncos would be OUT, and this might be our best chance because the Bengals can beat Denver and their motivation is to secure the #2 Seed. Its way more hopeful than Baltimore beating Pittsburgh or Cleveland beating KC.
