They polled Americans,then changed the way they calculate the polling because Trump was winning. Then they predicted a landslide for Hillary in an attempt to delegitimize Trump.
Then come the elections. Trump was winning the entire night, he ran the wire, and damn near turned the entire country red.

States that clearly supported Obama, switched to Trump. Kinda kills the racist argument.

I think the NYT could change their angle and it still wouldn't gain readership in a lot of these areas - it's just written differently. No abbreviations, slang, etc., no photos of decapitated corpses on the highway, etc. I've seen/read dozens of newspapers of all sizes throughout the country, and I've heard people mock the Times for being 'impossible' to read, and I just don't think a shift more toward the right will change that perception. At least not before printed news completely disappears.

I think that's largely true. Many held their nose as they voted for Hillary. I'd vote for her a hundred times before Trump, and I know a lot of Trump votes wefe cast with hesitation, but I think a lot more people happily voted Trump than Hillary.

It's bs. The nyt made the statement that they clearly need to reevaluate how they report,then in fine print claimed they didn't make any mistakes. So which is it? More double talk.

The fact is many people were complicit in lying. Both in favor of hillary and by twisting trumps words. The public is tired of it. Not to mention hillary embracing blm most likely cost her millions of votes by cops,fire,ems,vets.
Several things came together,but the countries opinion of hillary had been stable for decades, people don't like her or trust her. Trump appealed add the outsider and agent of change when it comes to lobbyists and crony capitalism.

I dunno, most of the words attributed to Trump in the press were either in full view on video or there were statements along those lines at the debates. Really, take all spin away, and you're still left with the most despicable campaign in history. Say that he didn't mean it, and that's better for the next 4 years, but speaks even worse as to the makeup citizens that put him in office, and what Trump thinks of them.

I watched two different press conferences where what he said made perfect sense, and yet liberal media sources twisted his words. They show a10 second ambiguous clip then tell you what he said was crazy.

It is what it is,he's the president, I hope he makes good choices for us. He's not a dictator,congress passers laws not the president.

Petraeus will wind up getting the job. Hell of a general, brilliant mind, former head of cia.

I appreciate trying to infuse generals who saw war first hand into an intelligence roll, but this is a bureaucracy, you can't fight the tide.

Obamacare is terrible, I know first hand, something has to be done. I don't get why high risk pools weren't the logical first step.

i bumped this thread over a month ago..

apparently, the first step the failed republican health-care bill was trying to make was to give the wealthiest people in the country a huge tax cut..
