Bears are shopping Cutler for a 7th round pick, to unload his cap to a new team... The Jets have interest but i doubt it is via trade, more like if he is released will they kick that bucket... And, no I don't think it will end well if he is brought here...
Both Tyrod Taylor and Mike Glennon are said to be higher in the pecking order over Cutler... So we shall see, how free agency plays out... Guessing if they don't get their option they might settle for Cutler...

Why are we recreating the Chicago Bears from a few years ago. They sucked. We won't be much better.
I have a friend who is a Bear fan. He's been hoping for the last 2 seasons the Bears would unload Cutler to the Jets. If he does come to the Jets, I sure hope it is done in a way that the Jets do not pick up his salary.
Great point. Cutler, Marshall, and Forte. That didn't amount to much then.
And Marshall has taken shots at Cutler as recently as a year ago. I don't see how they could coexist.
I still prefer Glennon or even Tyrod Taylor to Cutler. Cutler is said to be very polarizing, too. We don't need that nonsense right now.
Cutlers salary is only guaranteed for 2 million this year. He would probably wwind up cheaper than Fitz. My guess is 10 million. He can make the throws deep to anderson. It wouldn't be terrible while petty and hack get ready. The young wrs need a qb who can make the throws and not get them killed. Draft fournette and you take the pressure off cutler. Wouldn't be terrible.

Agreed, at the right price. The Jets need a veteran QB rental for at least a year. Cutler is probably about as good a choice as anyone. But again, at the right price.
if we are going to go with the "save bowles job" route, i would prefer romo..
I'd be OK with him too. But his playoff performances have me worried.

I never "passionately campaigned" for Geno Smith. I simply defended him against insane criticism from a few posters who went into torches and pitchforks mode against the guy. Geno deserved criticism, but some of what I read around here was straight delusional.
But you cannot reason with people who say "Geno sucks, and I won't acknowledge anything he did well". Thats like arguing with a child. You won't get anywhere.
