rhetorical??Jets have cleared $29.153 M in cap room by cutting Nick Mangold, Nick Folk, Breno Giacomini, not exercising Erin Henderson and Ryan Clady options.
Will there be more moves or are the other players safe?

Revis goes. Richardson dealt. So that will further increase cap room.
personally, i hope the fire sale continues.....we really don't know these were the obvious moves...
instead of simply cutting Revis they may try to restructure...
after that we hope they cut ties with Gilchrist, etc...
as for trades those won't happen over night {Sheldon Richardson, Calvin Pryor}
some unexpected roster cuts, restructuring or trades could happen but again we don't really know so my question will there be any other moves done is a fair question...

There's no prize for firing everybody on the first day.me too, just impatient -- they are moving like snails in making these roster cuts...

If we cut everybody, how are we going to fill all the roster spots? There's only 7 picks in the draft, and unless you go need based on picks how do you fill those holes? Hire older free agents like the ones we just cut, or put a bunch of practice squad guys on the field?

You don't take into account how thin we were last year. Plenty of positions need upgrading. Every player we cut has to be replaced in addition to our many holes. When backups are promoted, we need more backups.how many prospects do you think this team actually needs to target because of NEED?
CB yes, maybe two
WR a possibility one pick maybe one draft free agent
TE definitely
LT is a need
FS a want
SS a want
QB depending on who they sign in FA
RB a want, but Forte makes this an unlikely option unless someone falls into their lap they really want...
FB a possibility late round selection...
K after Folk's release opens the door, Ross Martin looks like a possibility as long term...
ER is a want, but we have talent in the front seven...
so explain to me how we don't have enough picks to fill the needs of this team... we have three needs and a lot of what ifs? we have depth in youth, throughout the roster... the players in question are an easy move, just because the majority of them their roster bonuses are approaching... pay them then cut them I dont think so... if they are shopping them then thats one thing but highly doubt that... are they trying to send them off with parade, geez some don't require that... are they trying to get rid of some while rework others (Revis) then the fanbase is going to have a shit storm...
players still on the chopping block:
Darrelle Revis
Brandon Marshall ( have plenty of depth at this position )
Eric Decker ( is questionable for restructuring, trade or release )
David Harris ( they turned over reigns to D Lee mid to late last season for reason )
Marcus Gilchrist
few trade options
Calvin Pryor
Sheldon Richardson
Steve McClendon
Buster Skrine
so yes can we make these moves and survive, definitely...
those on the chopping block are replaceable via the draft... three positions {CB, TE, LT} are definite projection needs in the draft, except receiver position if those two are gone we still have a healthy core of five options... those tradeable may gives us more moves in the draft...
is there anyone I am missing that their future is in doubt?

My point isn't that we can't sign guys, it's just that how many low expectation cheap players are we going to play at the same time? You can't count on every draft pick to even make the team let alone be a lock to play. What if shell only had 4 good games and regresses? I hope not, but I think there needs to be some balance.
A locker room full of kids can lead to headaches. There's a reason people don't do what the Browns did, because nothing is guaranteed.

I think there's only 2 vet leaders on your list, success is a component to have young guys listen. Mo and Powell, and not even sure mo is a leader.we have just enough key young veterans that will still be on the team to lead the way in:
Marcus Williams
Rontez Miles
Matt Catapano (if we re-sign him)
Deon Simon
Dexter McDougle
Mo Wilkerson
Quincy Enunwa
Wesley Johnson
Brian Winters
Brandon Bostick
Bilal Powell
I know that it doesn't seem like a lot but it actually is just enough... Then any pending free agents we may sign in the same age group of this young vets will help us with the rebuilding process by keeping the locker room some what tamed... Good personnel on the coaching staff can also help this from being a wreck to blossoming into something we need to be great...
Media scums have been at bay because this regime has them locked out from the gossip trail that former regimes allowed to be a disruptive force... Sheldon Richardson had a few whoops moments but the second half of the season he was on his best behavior, maybe not as productive on the field but off the field he was in the plus... This just shows how competent this front office is on handling troublesome players...
I think Jenkins is a little young to be a vet. But Williams look primed to be the face of the franchise.I would add Leonard Williams, James Carpenter and Jordan Jenkins to that group as well. Jenkins and Williams are young guys, but have shown to be solid mature players.

no guarantees that those two will happen...
the discussion was Revis from CB to SAF...
Richardson trade has been a discussion but they may want to hold on to him and reap the rewards of a compensatory pick which may be more than what we would get in a trade...
a lot of what ifs from now on...
now there is talk about Decker being cut or traded, so again what ifs...
