Hopefully, you're right. The 2018 draft is much better at top-end QB talent than 2017 is.
I want no part of guys like Cutler, and certainly not someone like Osweiler. Siemian, perhaps, as he is still young and may have more upside than Petty or Hack.

If it were to happen, it already has, and we just haven't heard about it. Cowboys had until 4:00 to either deal or cut Romo, I believe, or it carried over into the new year.
No Cowboys aren't cutting Romo till a post June 1st cut if they do. They announced that yesterday. They don't want to absorb the full cap hit this year and spread it over the next 2 years, thus waiting for 6/1
Only because I think Cousins is a younger version of Cutler and would get destroyed in NY market.
Well, you can cut guys now, but designate them as a post-6/1 cut. You technically don't have to wait until June 1 for a guy to be a post-June 1 cut.
It was a concession to the players to allow players who were getting cut to get a head start on finding their new team.
I hope that's the case. I would LOVE to have the $8mm cap saving, a QB on the roster who has actually played in the NFL and keep Cutler the hell out of Florham Park.
It sounds like there is more time on the clock, because the Cowboys are looking to spread out the cap hit over two years.
And you can still trade a player that's post 6/1 designation up until 6/1
