Our reality - Embrace it

I think this is easier said than done. But with this being a full on re-build year I think we need to just accept and embrace the fact that we may want to be competitive but we will not be. We will be in the running for the #1 overall pick next year. So I for one won't complain about anything this year. Not Bowles, Not Mac, Not the QB play, not a bad call, Nothing. I am in complete acceptance of rebuilding and shooting for the # 1 overall pick next year. I know I know what you may be thinking but somehow, someway we always miss out on the year to draft a franchise QB. I think there will be 3-5 qbs that will go in the top 15 in next years draft depending on what underclassman com out. And there are 3 clear cut guys that I think will be Franchise guys/ Might be the best QB class since Eli, Ben and Rivers. Depends on their seasons and how things shake out but at least 3 of these guys are going in the Top 10 based on how the draft falls as well. Take a look at these guys

1. Sam Darnold - USC
2. Josh Rosen - UCLA
3. Josh Allen - Wyoming (remember this guys name)
4. Jake Browning - Wash
5. Lamar Jackson - Louisville
6. Mason Rudolph - Oklahoma State - late Rising Star 5th yr senior
7. Baker Mayfiled - Oklahoma - Off field incident recently puts him at the bottom of this list but his talent might have him as the 3rd best QB on this list

I'll take any of the first 3 and depending on where we fall would be ok with any of the rest.. Jackson is still the only one I am questionable on but he feels like the next Michael Vick but better

I want to see one more year of Browning (without Ross @ WR). He has amazing stats, and an amazing career to date.

I am fine with not being competitive. The best way to get to the top is to be at the bottom, not to be in the middle. Too many teams get stuck between 6-10 and 9-7, keep pushing to remain competitive with free agency, and never build the kind of foundation that will help them become elite.

i get what you're saying about giving everybody a pass next season.. if we're going to be horrible let's at least get the best QB in the draft..

but won't bowles be in his last year of his contract in '18?? if he is, that means he would get an extension sometime in '17 if johnson wants to keep him.. notice i didn't say johnson & maccagnan, because bowles' boss is the owner, not the GM.. anyway, i just can't see justifying extending bowles if doesn't have his team playing with a real sense of urgency & passion.. i would be willing to accept the continuation of blown coverage & dumb penalties.. we're going to be playing a bunch of kids.. but playing with a sense of urgency & passion shouldn't be a tough sell.. & even if it proves to be, well tough shit..

if bowles can't do that, he needs to be fired..

Next year is their one shot to turn it around and they have the least talent in the NFL by far so its a good chance they will have the worst record unless there will be another 0-16 team.

There will be very few things I will complain about this year. However what simply cannot be tolerated is guys not showing up to practice, walk throughs, team meetings, sleep walking through games, et al. If that continues then a housecleaning will be in order.

I truly hope Bowles has the onions to bench these guys. They should be booed out of the stadium. I'd rather see young hungry guys than these selfish fools.

I can agree with that... At least play hard. It was just blatantly obvious last year the team played every game with a lack of effort
