The point Westhoff and Lucas were making is that the Jets have so many needs, that really Mac could just go with the best available player at any pick and still get a very good player? There will be NO excuse if Mac does not start drafting excellent players. And I mean players that contribute IMMEDIATELY. Darron Lee might be a good player once they find where he is best suited to play and he puts on about 10 to 20 pounds of muscle???

Do you even understand how stupid that sounds? The Jets. A team with so needs is picking players that MIGHT be good after they change their body style and figure where they play their best ball??? That's just DUMB. Mac does not need to waste time finding players that need DEVELOPMENT. He should be able to find a player in this draft no matter where he decides to take his 1st round draft choice? If he decides to pick at 6 or trade down? Either way he should get a player that is READY to step on an NFL football field and contribute to a professional football team right off the bat. I mean after just ONE training camp the kid is ready to be a starter. ANYWHERE there is a great value in the 1st round, besides the DL IMO, Mac could take that player if he plays his cards right and get a day one starter...........
