I hate that we are going to stink next season but we have been trying different ways all the other years. It's time for us to try something different.Rebuilding is okay if it means for long term success. Maybe Maccagnan convinced Woody that with Brady almost out, now's our chance to build the team to replace him. We all know that Tannenbaum will put Miami in cap hell. The bills are probably one of the franchises that are worse than us.

And their QB fiasco is almost never mentioned, while it is the lead for every NFL story since Pennington was healthy.
Well the Jets had Bill B. for one day. The Jets have always signed Pats players for intel and sometimes Pats sign Jets. The Jets are always chasing the Pats. The Jets have Spygate. Bills have been irrelevant since early 90's. It will be nice to not have to worry about catching the Pats for awhile. They Jets can just focus on rebuilding the talent and culture on the team and by then Brady will hopefully be gone or in a wheelchair.

What ALL of this boils down to is DRAFTING. If the Jets had not gone from basically 2008 right through what looks like to TODAY, without doing almost any decent drafting, we would NOT be talked about this way? This is such common sense. It's so logical. You build through the draft and now after Tanny, Idzik, and even shades of Mac, it looks like the Jets are being run by one dingbat after another?
If the Jets had been drafting well over basically a 9 year span, our record and success over the last 9 years would reflect that of a SUCCESSFUL team. Instead this idiot writing all this drivel, would be reserving the drivel for perhaps the Cleveland Browns or the Los Angeles Rams? But essentially, via such bad hiring for so many years now, Woody has made this team subject to all the crappola that gets written about them? Now, I do NOT blame Woody for being a bad owner. I think he's a great owner. I really do. I just think he makes bad hires. Bad hires like Leon Hess used to make?

It has nothing to do with what the Patsies are doing. Honestly, it has nothing to do with what someone else is doing. It has everything to do with the New York Jets and the choices they've made through the years.............
Sometimes it has nothing to do with skilled GM's making brilliant draft picks. Sometimes you get a really high draft pick and are in position to draft a franchise QB.
The Jets have the misfortune of not quite sucking enough to get into that position. Tampa Bay and Tennessee aren't geniuses for selecting Winston and Mariota. They sucked bad enough to get those players.

It's been a mixed bag, IMO. I think the Jets have done well in the draft and FA at times, especially during the Championship runs in 09 and 10. But they haven't hit on QB's and that's been their Achilles heel. Sanchez and Geno were failures.
2011 wasn't bad. We chased them right to the golf course.
Before that, the Jets got Parcells, then they tampered with Belichick, then we got Martin, and back and forth.
