Jets Host TE Mychal Rivera

The Jets brought in unrestricted free agent Mychal Rivera for a visit to the Atlantic Health Training Center Monday.

Originally a sixth-round pick of the Raiders in 2013, Rivera has been productive for Oakland in his five-year career. The Tennessee product has registered 146 receptions for 1,413 yards and 10 touchdowns in 61 games (15 starts).

The 6’3”, 245-pound Rivera became the second tight end in Volunteers history to finish with over 1,000 yards for his career (Reggie Harper). In three seasons in Knoxville, he recorded 76 catches for 1,018 yards and six touchdowns, earning first-team All-SEC honors in 2012.

Well, yes, but a QB is going to benefit from better targets. You don't just give up on bringing in talent because you're still searching for your QB.

lol. I'm not going to lose sleep over this. Rivera would have been nice but we can easily find someone to match his production.

Not losing sleep on this move or the Jets in general. Just pointing out that the Jets are the least desirable team in the NFL.
