How dumb are the Jets?

They are desperate to sell seats and will pretty much do anything at this point. They have been calling me nonstop to put a down payment on my annual opening day tailgate. I keep telling them there's plenty of time and I don't even know how many people are coming but they are insisting.

VERY dumb. I mean what else do you call it when they cut Mangold for cap purposes (which I get), but then they make no effort to get him back at a lower cap number?

Sorry to say cause I love Nick Mangold but Wesley Johnson played better than him and is younger and cheaper... SMART move by the Jets....
Forbes has them as a top 10 NFL franchise revenue wise.... SO wrong gain.
i agree completely. Mangold is on the downside of his career. He's a good player but Johnson showed talent last season. We need to start the youth movement. Some of these moves will be tough.
Guess what I got TBD......So I am going to buy some tickets on good faith to see if they will give me a free Hotdog & 12 0z soda......Go F___ yourself Woody.

Smart move my a$$. Lounap, I GUARANTEE you this season if the Jets do not get a 1st stringer (which Johnson is not, nor will he ever be) to start ahead of Johnson, you will be SO disappointed. Johnson is a decent back up and he will NEVER amount to even close to Mangold. If you honestly the OL will be fine with the current trash they are assembling, then you would have to be delusional.

They may be a valuable franchise, but that's only because they have so many corporate sponsors. Meanwhile, the product sucks so bad they can't get people to go to the games. So wrong my A$$.

Have fun watching that youth movement when Johnson is getting consistently gashed by opposing defenses. Johnson is DEPTH and nothing more...
was he getting gashed last season? I think not. Mangold is done. Why pay him good money just because of his legacy.

in fact it's funny I should mention how suspect Johnson truly is, and ironically enough Mac feels the same. Mac just signed former Colt Harrison to compete for the starting job. He ha 23 games of starting experience.
nothing wrong with competition.... Point wasn't Wesley Johnson was asure starter. Point was Johnson showed talent and played better than Mangold... So why keep an aging declining player or bring him back on a lower cap number when you have someone better on the roster and guess what you can sign someone even cheaper to push the competition..
YOu talked about revenue not the product on the field... quote "the Jets are hard up for revenue"... They are not... Do you work in politics? You should with how you try to spin everything you argue when confronted with facts
Not worth your breath. Games were pretty packed last year until they clearly had zero chance to win. We're only one year removed from an exciting season.

I definitely would have called him up, the way he was cut was disrespectful. Not too many guys have been more loyal and clean cut for a franchise in as much disarray,as the Jets.
