Romo to the booth/How it affects Jets

So with Romo going to CBS, I think this has an effect on the draft for sure. With the Broncos, Texans and Browns all in need of a QB, I've gotta think some trade downs will be available to Macc if he's not enamored with the QB class.

Denver and/or Houston has got to want to move up for one of the three QB's (most likely Trubisky or Watson). This might work out quite well for the Jets if they can swing a trade and accumulate a few more picks.

Denver just drafted a QB last year I seriously doubt they want to move to #6. Houston maybe, but these QB's are nothing special so not sure teams want to mortgage future for mediocrity.

Denver was never really interested... I think they have 2 young QB's they like and Siemian wasn't the problem last year.. Losing CJ anderson and not having a running game hurt.. I think Siemian is gonna be fine and Lynch finds his way off that roster in 2018...

The teams I see looking to possibly move up are the Browns from 12, Cards from 13,Texans from 25 and the Chiefs from 27.... I also think there is an outside shot the Saints and Steelers might look to move up too... Brees is getting to the end of the road and Big Ben is already talking retirement.

Right, I forgot about Paxton Lynch. Siemian is still a questionable starter in my book. But Denver is probably not in the equation for a trade.

But Houston and AZ might be interested. I'm reading that the Steelers are thinking about the Post Big Ben era, too. If we trade out of 6, it's the best case scenario, imo. We'll get compensated well for that pick.

Not sure.

What we do know for sure is that he is now employed by CBS, and will be doing games with Nantz. That means Romo is now officially a Patriots lover.

Of the two, I thought Simms provided a lot more than Nantz.

The move makes little sense to me. But I guess it's what CBS had to do to outbid the other networks.

It really all boils down to what teams think of the QB's coming out? For the most part, I hear this is not a strong QB draft? Most mocks have Trubisky going around 25? If that's the case, Mac doesn't have a chance at consumating a trade down.

I'd be willing to bet Trubisky goes top 10. Watson in the top 20, and Mahomes will pass Kizer up at the bottom end of the first round. Kizer goes mid 2nd.

Not because I think any of them are worth those spots. But because they're all QB's with upside. Even though history says 2 or 3 of them will probably bust.

Replacing Francesa and Carton with a pair of talking Magpies would be an improvement. (And they don't even have to be Heckle and Jeckle.)

I'm just angry that on the network that carries AFC games, they can't seem to find an ex-AFL player for the booth. Do they actually think we rooted for Romo? The Cowboys might be "America's Team" but they certainly aren't ours.
