Jets Sign CFL CB John Ojo

The New York Jets announced Friday that they’ve signed CFL CB John Ojo to a contract.

Ojo recently visited with the Dolphins, but looks like the Jets proved to be the most interested team.

Ojo, 27, wound up going undrafted out of Florida A&M back in 2014. During his college career, he recorded 131 tackles, seven interceptions and six pass defenses.

Ojo tried out for the Seahawks in May of 2014 before eventually signed on with the Edmonton Eskimos CFL during the 2014 season. He returned to Eskimos the following year, but unfortunately, suffered a season-ending Achilles tear during the preseason last year that cost him the entire 2016 season.

In 2015, Ojo appeared in 18 games and recorded 41 tackles, five interceptions and one defensive touchdowns for Edmonton.

you never know, this kid has the height (6'3") the length and the plays with a physical demeanor that are hard pressed to find... could be a just a camp invite and should bring a different intensity to the secondary... apparently he is healed otherwise they wouldn't of signed him... if not mistaken the injury not in a game was in practice last June...

I'm impressed with defensive players from the CFL. They need excellent speed to cover the wider field they play on. And this guy's size seems a plus. Definitely worth a shot.
