Why are you so down on lee? He's played a rookie season, that's it.

He's too small? What part of that do you not understand? He simply lacks the size necessary to do his job. I don't care who it is, but being 215 pounds in todays NFL and playing linebacker will NEVER end well.

Not to mention, it's Mac taking him last season when it was obvious the Jets needed a guy that would immediately have a positive impact on the team. Lee was not that guy. Lee is a project.......

Why are we considered to have one of the worst rosters in the NFL, well;

2014 #1 - Calvin Pryor
2013 #1 - Dee Milner
2012 #1 - Quentin Coples
2010 #1 - Kyle Wilson
2009 #1 - Mark Sanchez
2008 #1 - Vernon Gholston

Not to mention Wilkerson went downhill last year and Sheldon Richardson is kind of on life support. Throw in the the countless horrid number 2 picks. Terry Bradway probably still thinks he's a good talent evaluator.

We need to keep some momentum going with the last two years and grow from there.

Lee has not been great but I think he has valuable skills if put in the right place. Not to make excuses for him but he had zero help in the secondary and I expect Adams (and Maye) to make the entire defense better. There is a lot of speed on this defense now which we haven't seen in a very long time. It's now on Bowles to put the pieces in the right place.

Extremely. One can only hope that patience will be a virtue here, and that he will utilize him better now.

i would like to think it was on bowles to put the pieces in the right place from day one.. after all, this is his defense, with his guys, going in to year 3..

i'm not sure we truly find out what lee can be until bowles & rogers are relieved over duty..

Tough call. By next season? I'd give it a 3. At some point in his career? 6.5.

you're giving bowles less than a 50% chance (next season) to get out of lee, what at some point you believe will be gotten out of him going forward..

that's damning, considering lee was absolutely bowles' handpicked 1st rd draft pick..

it's also another example of why i believed bringing bowles back this season was an exercise in futility on so many different levels..

Maybe a little perspective on the kid's less than great year. He's not making excuses and appears to be approaching this year in a positive manner. Hoping here to see improvement.
