Hate to say it but if this is the case, we are in real trouble here Jets faithful. If Hack is doing this, then how is he going to look during game time with all the madness coming his way??? All the decision he will have to make, reading defenses etc-etc... This makes MM and TB look even worse, if he really sucks this bad. That draft, they drafted him in the second round while Dak Prescott and Cody Kessler were still available. Now maybe Cody Kessler doesn't turn out to be anything special but we all see what Dak is about. I just hope Hack will get it together before the season starts and his play is halfway decent. At least, play well enough to stay on the field all year, so they can see does he have it or not. Should they draft a QB or not. I personally don't think Petty is the answer but I'm hoping Hack is. I won't even bother to mention Mccown.
I would bet Petty is a better answer than Hack.
Hackenburg not accurate with his passes? SHOCKING!! Come on, everyone knew he has bad footwork passing the ball. I said it before that in College he threw screen passes into crowds. He is a Major work in progress & is another 2 years at best before Hack will be ready to try in NFL. Shoot, he still has to learn a 3-5-7 step drop from under Center! He has a lot to learn & even worse is being able to apply it in a real NFL game under fire. Hack didnt do well in College under pressure & NFL Defenses are far more quicker & hiding their Blitz's & attack schemes. Lets hope Mikey Mac did totally waste a 2nd pick on him & by the time his rookie contract is up & time & money spent teaching him that it wasnt a waste. If Jets are going to spend this much time & money on Hack they better keep him. If not? Cut him now & let another team waste time & money on him. It would tick me off to waste 4 years time & money to help him to be good enough to go to another team to add finishing touches & Hack becomes a good QB. So Jets all in or all out . Decide now not after 4 years & cut. Let another team invest in him if not keeping Hack.
has anyone heard anything about Petty? He seems to be the forgotten man?

If there is a reporter I believe when it comes to what is actually going on with the Jets, it is Kim Jones. I think her comments were spot-on. I think the criticism of Hackenberg is unduly harsh and may not be 100% accurate. Let the kid play before we start calling him a bust. Maybe it turns out that way, but maybe it doesn't. I would tend to take what the NY beat writers say with a grain of salt. In the case of Mehta, I would ignore it completely. But for the others, I would be carefully buying in to what they have to say coming from anonymous sources. Those players are probably no longer on the roster would be my guess.
you just don't throw away ur draft selections because one bottom feeding reporter decides to trash him...
yes Gas we know you keep saying everybody sucks and we should just cut bait and what sign you off the street for a bag of peanuts...
all these reporters do is write negative stories on our team, and focus on x players in doing so...
this year Hackenberg has been the point of attack...
