we've being saying this the whole time, maybe just maybe they will finally give him his shot... but more than likely he will be overlooked as the spare to veteran Matt Forte who looks to be more involved in the offense than last year... then again the faster Forte ends up on IR, the faster we can utilize Powell in this type of featured back role...

Not necessarily. If overused, he has a tendency to break down which may be the reason why they are not using him like a bell cow.

by my count, never on either count..

it's a nonsensical talking point that clearly mitchell ain't buying..

unfortunately, mitchell doesn't seem to have much say in the matter..

two seasons ago we over used him and he missed final game against the Bills where we needed him to have a chance to get into the playoffs... without him the offense looked anemic...

yea and the reason we are having this conversation is Ivory was the lead back and coughed up a big goose egg like the rest of the team without Powell available in that final game of the season... the reason Powell got over worked was the distribution that they placed on Ivory, he got injured which forced the team to go with Bilal, which then led to Powell's injury... 70 carries 47 reception on 63 targets putting him out there for a good chunk of the play calling... yes Ivory had was the bell cow with almost 250 carries, but not enough when it mattered the most...

as for Bilal's true statistics compared to Ivory he was on the field for 44% of the offense's snaps (198 snaps) to Ivory's 277... Other stats for Stacy, and Ridley N/A...

the true statistic to compare powell & ivory in '15 were 70 carries compared to 250.. carries are the true indication of wear & tear on RB, not how many snaps they get..

powell was not available week 17 in '15 because he was injured, not because he was overused.. period..

hell, the better argument is ivory was overused..
