The Jets vaunted d-line against the Giants struggling O-line did nothing.
Wilkersons preseason has picked up where last season ended. He is continually getting blocked out by single blockers. If this continues through out the year, i believe, he is a goner and the Jets will franchise tag Richardson if his season is good. Richardson has looked a lot better to me this preseason.
Outside of the QB position,a lot of these players need to show up.

Guys you seem to forget that the past three drafts before Mac got here were shit and this team was devoid of talent. Has he done a masterful job - hell no - but let's not kid ourselves he screwed the pooch with respect to the OL and I fault him for that. However, how do you know that the CS didn't tell him that the OL was ok and capable....? Irrespective, that doesn't absolve him from neglecting the O... he should be judged by this cluster and I am sure he will be....
Well we claimed Kony Ealy. Nice waiver claim. Hopefully he will last longer than Lucky.

This is in competition to be the worst roster in NFL history. I don't think it is because the defense is still pretty good and the lone bright spot on this team. But this team overall is gutter trash and it's 100% Mac's fault. After 3 years there's no more bull shit excuses like it's Rex or Idzik's fault? That's nonsense and constant passing the blame like a certain political party loves to do.
Well guys, we knew our Jets were bad. So the biggest thing for me to watch for is Players QUITTING in games again. I expect Jets to play hard no matter what, no shame in losing if you give it all. But Wilkerson who quit in games last year & no effort is heading this way again. Richardson who quit last year will play his best this year only because final year of contract & looking for a Wilkerson payday. If Players quit on BOWLES again he must be fired. I'm tired of watching Hackenburg & tired of the excuses like he doesnt have anyone aroung him. Yeah, neither does Petty or Mac who plays better than Hackenburg. Jets needs to stop thinking where the QB's were drafted. PRESCOT OF cowgirl was a 4th round pick & now starting. So just cause HACK was a 2nd pick & Petty was a 4th means nothing! Petty is hands down a better QB than Hack. So question is, do you want to keep Hack for 3 more years to see if he can be a average 20 to 30 range QB?

This Jets team is the worst kind of trash I have ever seen? Mac should be fucking fired for even thinking this is actually a team! I am so totally disgusted with this front office.
While I knew this team would be unable to really compete I was also hoping the defense would step up. I know it's only preseason but still seeing some of the same terrible coverage's in the secondary by the cornerbacks and not enough pressure on the QB. This defensive line is a bit overrated and should be better with the capital the Jets have spent on them. If we continue this will surely be a 1 or 2 win season.

I mean at some point you have to think the plan was to burn it all down this year and rebuild starting with a brand new shiny freshly minted drafted Franchise QB and a new CS... Cause once they let Decker and Harris go it's been a shit show. But maybe I am giving them to much credit to plan this out.

Mac still didn't have to make it this bad. He could have held on to Harris for leadership and wisdom. He was also still the Jets best linebacker. I'm watching Darron Lee get beaten like Kunta Kinte by Evan Engram, a ROOKIE. Lee is supposed to now be our best linebacker?
They could still bring back Mangold and have a better presence than Wesley Johnson. The entire OL is finger pointing with each other on the field there's ZERO chemistry.
This is also inexcusable because the Jets immature, young QB's that must have a decent cast around so they can build confidence.
I get the whole burn it down approach, but Mac is a complete asshole that doesn't know when to quit.
I'm with here 100% but was hoping they would be competitive this year. I knew they wouldn't win much but atleast be competitive. This season will look a lot like the way the first half of the pre season Giants vs. Jets game did. There won't be a second half of the 2nd and 3rd stringers coming in for the opposing team. Expect a whole lot of 40-7 type games. Mac has something to do with that.
