Utah
Initial reports from the pro-day workout of Utah receiver Dres Anderson has the senior timing 4.47 in the 40 after measuring 6-1 3/8, 186 pounds. As of this posting, Anderson, who missed the end of the 2014 season with a knee injury which prevented him from participating in the Senior Bowl and combine, was getting set to run the shuttles.

Fourteen teams including the Baltimore Ravens (WR Coach), Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers are on hand.

Update: Dres Anderson's workout is complete. His other marks included 6.87 in the 3-cone, 4.2 in the short shuttle and 11.32 in the 60-yard shuttle. His broad jump measured 10-1.

Anderson caught all but one pass during his workout, and the one he missed was a wayward throw which traveled out of bounds. He's meeting with Baltimore Ravens wide receiver coach Bobby Engram later today.

The injury which forced Anderson to the sidelines late in 2014 has made him the forgotten prospect at the receiver position. Yet, most believe Anderson will be under-drafted and had second-round potential had he been able to finish the year. Teams expect the wideout to produce as a rookie this fall and progress from the point where he left off in October.

Tevin Coleman
The much awaited pro day for Tevin Coleman has finished and the reviews have been positive.

Coming off foot surgery some 4 months ago, I'm told Coleman ran the 40 and did position drills. Times vary on the 40 and ranged from the high 4.3's to the low 4.4's. At the combine, Coleman measured just under 5-11 1/2 and was 206 pounds. During position drills, he looked good both catching the ball and also in running drills.

Amongst the 22 teams in attendance, the Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts sent running back coaches. The San Diego Chargers had a full contingent of offensive coaches on hand.

Coleman, who had dinner with the Houston Texans last night, has additional meetings set with the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots today.

Where will Coleman all in the 2015 NFL Draft? It could be much earlier than most expect.

Some teams grade Coleman almost the equal to another Big Ten running back in the 2015 NFL Draft, Melvin Gordon of Wisconsin, and the opinion of many scouts is Coleman ranks as one of the top three backs in the draft.

There's also a belief the junior is not a very motivated player, which upon further investigation is wrong.

Coleman has a quiet personality and, at times, has to have the conversation drawn from him. Hoosiers head coach Kevin Wilson, who spent 9 years at Oklahoma where he coached some electrifying running backs, has informed teams that Coleman is a player who works on the little things (film work, etc.) and they should not let his quiet demeanor be mistaken for lack of work ethic.
