Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but here's an article on what Brandon Marshall thinks of Hackenberg. He was asked the question on the Francesca show:

Even though Brandon Marshall said he’s done being a player evaluator to the media, he decided to make an exception on Thursday.

Speaking to Mike Francesa on WFAN at the Super Bowl, Marshall was very complimentary of Jets second-round pick Christian Hackenberg.

“I love the kid. Big arm,” Marshall told Francesa. “He’s so smart.”

But Hackenberg’s talents go beyond what he’s capable of on the field, according to Marshall. Everyone knows that he has prototypical size and a big arm but Marshall said that the former Penn State QB is also a tireless worker in the classroom.

Marshall went as far as to compare the Hackenberg’s worth ethic to two all-time great quarterbacks.

“I mean, from Day 1, (he’d say), ‘Brandon, hey, when are you watching film? I want to go sit in that room with you and watch film.’

“That’s what I love about quarterbacks. That’s what I love, like the guys who have that Tom Brady, that Peyton Manning leadership quality, the guys that are gym rats — that’s Hackenberg.”

Marshall also believes that Hackenberg received a bad wrap in the media this past season and that people shouldn’t believe the stories about his accuracy troubles.

“It’s hard to evaluate a quarterback when you’re going against the scout team every day,” Marshall said. “He barely threw any routes.

“When you’re going against the scout team every day and the guys know the cards. It’s hard for him, the defense knows where the ball is going. It’s hard to judge a quarterback in practice in his first year.”

This will be a big offseason for Hackenberg. The Jets were very upfront about their desire to give him a redshirt year last season to hit the reset button, but in year two he needs to see the field. Not only will Hackenberg need to improve his fundamentals, but he’ll also be learning a new offense under John Morton.

“The kid has a chance,” Marshall said. “Obviously we know he has talent, he has an arm. If he continues to work, he’ll be alright.”

haha, I thought of that. Marshall loves every QB and then they start to stink:

Cutler
Geno
Fitz

Let's hope Hack can escape the Marshall curse.
I think hack is a true 50/50 , there's no reason why he can't be a beast, but he could also never catch up to the nfl game.
