2020 Roster Outlook

This is basically a poll to see which top end players will be back with the team next season. The idea is do we believe who is running the team, Joe Douglas or Adam Gase and we all have read the statements that Gase has made about Le'Veon Bell and C.J. Mosley. If players are cut or traded who are they and how many people believe that Gase is going to relinquish last say to his friend who he got hired to be the main guy.

I think most are back.
Enunwa due to his injury is going to stick on the PUP/IR.
Herndon will get a chance to show what he can do. He's cheap to keep
Harrison will be back either as a starter or back up. No way do we have 5 new starters on the O Line plus new back ups.
Bell will be back. If his play improves and his value rises, I expect the Jets to shop him again. Possibly eating some of his contract.
Q will be back, really need to get him on the field more. Seems everyone but upper management realize were not going to the playoffs.....
Maye will be back also, cheap and playing well.
Adams likely back unless a big offer comes in for him.
Avery Williamson likely gone, age,injury, price = his release
Trumaine needs to go.
Mosley will be back, 8 mill per tackle is a bargain....

I ticked most of them. Johnson is an obvious cut and it might be time to cut bait with Enunwa. Obviously we're not cutting Harrison when Beachum, Lewis and Shell are all free agents and Winters is a possible cut. There is a limit to the number of positions we can upgrade in one close season. Too early to lose Q Williams, we usually keep #1 pick DLs for three years before releasing them.

Enunwa, T. Johnson, Bell, and possibly Herndon and Adams. The play of Griffin has a possible trade of Herndon a possibility. Enunwa's big mouth may have sealed his fate, Trumaine Johnson is ADIOS. LeVeon Bell not a Coach's pick. Jamal Adams, our #1 All World Safety may be gone for draft picks. Hopefully if we do it (I hope not) we get at least a top 10 pick or a All Pro player at a need position.

I figure Johnson will be shown the door, Quincy won't be medicly cleared to play, and Maye will be here if not traded for picks, but, I don't think we would get a lot for him at this point.

i think you are under estimating Mayes value. While guys like Adams and Poole are racking up QB hits and sacks, it's because Maye has done a terrific job covering for them. Without Maye playing the "Angel" as GW calls it. Adams doesn't get to blitz 10 plus times per game and Poole would be playing coverage, not rushing the passer.
Maye is probably the most under rated player on our roster by the fan base. I think he would fetch a first, second at very least.

Without Maye playing the "Angel" as GW calls it. Adams doesn't get to blitz 10 plus times per game and Poole would be playing coverage, not rushing the passer.

Oh I don't under estimate Maye Tony. He does a great job as part of our dynamic duo. I just don't think that there is much interest for him at this time. He is overshadowed by Adams being in the limelight.
