2026 Draft Watch

Not a luxury. The Jets desperately need more pass-catching options. Sadiq greatly improves the team there.
I agree that Sadiq is a top prospect. Did they really need to draft a TE in the first?
NO.
CB S WR LB. Those needed to be addressed in the first 2 rd with no 3rd rder.
There were better options at NEED positions at that point of the draft.
Sadiq was not a need. WR should have been the pick or a CB.
It's all moot anyway. If the draft keeps going this way Glenn AND Mougey will be gone and this time next year We will be starting from scratch, again.

I could agree on Sadiq if we didn't get Cooper, but we got the WR in addition to the best EDGE and best TE in the draft. Sadiq is another weapon. Our offense sucked so bad for decades and you need weapons. You now have Garrett, Cooper, Sadiq, Taylor and Breece on the field with the best QB we have had since Geno was punched in the face. Plus you get Cooper for a useless pick and got a 5th year option. Great job by the GM.

Mostly correct. They had the perfect situation to upgrade BOTH sides of the ball.
They screwed it up. WR S CB and LB.
Huge position need and what do they do?
They pick a TE and this years Vernon Gholsten. Just nuts. Then, to top it all off they could have gotten the guy they traded up for with the pick they traded for him. You can't spin it anyway to make it palatable.

At the end of the day, the players have to prove it on the field. I like all the picks, but it doesn’t matter how bad or how great they were, the players have to produce and prove it on the field. So we’ll see where this goes when the games start!

haters.......picks were AWESOME. Mason as your base TE and Sadiq lining up at ANY of the receiving spots on the field. Can literally target a mismatch and/or create a mismatch for someone else if D adjusts. The OC's playbook just got thicker and Geno made more valuable. We had one WR (Mitchell a long way from being difference maker)....now the offense is dynamic. This will make a rookie QB next year very happy.
Looking forward to seeing Mougey find some later rd gems.

Dude. Hate has nothing to do with what's going on with this Franchise.
Same mistakes over and over again.
It's amazing to me that some are still drinking the Kool-Aid.

A couple of years from now We will be talking about the guys that "We could have drafted."

What the Rams did to me was baffling on all levels. Stafford is good enough, excuse me, great enough to play for 2-3 more years at a MVP level. What was the point of that? Unless they know that he’s retiring next year. KC trading up for the DB was pointless to me also. They could have drafted him where they originally were at.

The Cardinals and especially the Titans reached also. Love is an excellent RB but they have nothing to help him, so how is he supposed to excel there. Titans drafting that WR at #4, WTF! I’m very impressed with the Browns. Trading down and drafting a Tackle works for them. I would’ve thought they would’ve gone with Boston instead of Conception, but whatever works for them. That might come back and bite them in the ass.
The Rams are in a position to let Simpson sit and learn behind Stafford for a year, likely 2 years before he has to see the field. That's exactly what he needs and the timeline works perfectly for them.
Thin draft with a small handful of elite players. Not many trade partners early kind of pushed positional value out the windows. Love and Tate were 2 of the top talents in the draft, especially Love who is likely the best player period.

Cooper was going to Buffalo, they got cute moving back ,sure they would still land him, then Mougey stepped in front of them and took him.

Totally agree with this. This team had the second shittiest pass rush last year and to not think EDGE wasn’t a position of need is absurd. If we pick up a Rodriquez at 44 now we have the LB issue covered . Bottom line is you’re not covering every position of need (especially with this team) in 1 draft . I think Mougey did a great job. The 2nd pick was kind of a death zone ….. it was either Bailey or Reese. And to be honest…. I thought Styles was better than Reese
