Some 49ers free agents who could be of interest to the Jets:

DL Solomon Thomas, Kerry Hyder

FB/RB: Kyle Juszczyk, Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon, Jeff Wilson

WR: Kendrick Bourne

TE: Jordan Reed

DB: Richard Sherman, Ahkello Witherspoon, Jason Verrett, Dontae Johnson, Jaquiski Tartt

Jets could be inline to sign FA Richard Sherman this off season would bring veteran leadership to our young secondary...

Yeah I'm tired of the dogs myself. Sherman though? A little up there in terms of age but the experience he brings would be a huge plus. I would do it but at the right price.

Sherman 33 still can play in the Cover 3 defense that Saleh will install... A teacher, leader of our young core he would be an ideal addition...

His price tag will be up there but affordable not like we are signing him to a Trumaine Johnson type deal...

I didn't see this post until after I responded to the Robinson post but, as I said there, several of these guys are actually expected to become Jets. I'm good with that partly because they are good players and familiar with Saleh's scheme but also because it gives JD more freedom with the draft picks. And especially if JD were to somehow pull off a trade for Watson because that would eat into our draft picks as well.

actually that whole list is not the 27 that are expected to be UFAs but that list are the most likely UFAs that could sign with us...

for the offense to have a traditional FB in Juszczyk then move Trevon Wesco to TE position as that blocker would be a big plus... Maybe adding Jeff Wilson of the three RBs is likely the more efficient cost signing with more upside...

Bourne could be an addition in the slot...

Tartt with Maye, Sherman with Hall & Austin and L Jackson brings that secondary to another level....

dont expect both Hyder and Solomon Thomas but Thomas is more of an edge rusher who would be an upgrade over John Franklin Meyers...

CJ Betherd not on the list could come in to replace Flacco as the veteran backup who understands what might LaFleur might to install offensively here...

Again too many options and a lot of what ifs...

It also depends on any changes Lafleur makes to his scheme if any and how they decide to set up the defense. Currently Lafleur is a fan, you've probably noticed, likes to use two slot receivers in his schemes so it boils down to how the new schemes are adapted or modified to suit this organization. With that in mind it's difficult to know at this juncture which players fit and which players don't fit. Like you say..........a lot of what ifs even before starting player evaluations and moves.

I like the notion of Saleh bringing in some 49ers from Free Agency.
It would take a guy like him to keep Richard Sherman under wraps as he is an outspoken guy.
He is a big booster of Saleh and ergo the Jets.

Jets did fine on Free agancy, only problem is not getting a good Veteran Center for QB. I guess they didnt want a bidding war with Chargers who also needed a Vet Center for their rookie QB .

JD did fine. What a difference a night makes.
We're not used to patience, it's either foolish spending,not filling holes, and being the SOJ.
Just get Zach, and spread the use of the other draft choices if Deshaun is not on the open market.
