I really like the idea of this guy coming into the season. Kind of a secret weapon type guy with some real potential but....

I'm getting fed up with his dropped balls. He just isn't a reliable receiver. Can't trust him to make catches.

I know he doesn't play the same position but jermey kerley needs more playing time over this guy.

Offense should be designed to get your playmakers on the field. I think kerley reminded everyone yesterday why he needs to be on the field more.

I'm not saying bench Enuwna but just get different packages in to play kerley more. Don't see it happening though. Hopefully he improves as the season goes on and it pays off down the line.

On a side note I think Smith was impressive yesterday. I really like what I saw. A few more games under his belt and we may have something here.

I think the game plan is to get him some playing time and see how he developes. I agree kerley should be running check down routes. Too many times yesterday Fitz had someone wide open near the first, and he dumped it off for no gain or a loss.

We couldn't get the running game going and Fitz had to rush his passes. We missed Ivory and Dexter and it showed.

I had end zone seats right behind him. A lot of times the slot receiver right in front of his face was open, and he was turning to his blindside to check down. I'm a pro Fitz guy since we signed him, but there are some easy corrections for him.
And honestly as terrible as we played, we almost won. Marshalls fumble alone cost us 10 points, and we lost by only 7.

I asked previously. What is the secret weapon? Why is this guy loved by jet fans? He is a big/TE sized receiver with horrible hands. He isn't overly fast, nor a great route runner. Why is there so much love for this guy?

I'm getting a little concerned with the running game. Even last week in the 1st half the Jets were getting stuffed a lot, and leaving the O in a lot of 3rd and longs.

They wound up with over a 100 yards rushing, but most of it came in the 4th quarter.

I hear you. After watching the game a second time, it was a few mistakes hear and there that cost us the game. Enunwa had an off side on first drive and several drops that cost us momentum early on . Marshall made a big boo boo. Hope he tries to make up for it against the Fins. Games like this are growing pains. Dexter plays and it might be a totally different game. Dexter run routes that are mostly first downs. Enunwa is still getting his growing legs. The Defense had a hard time with Sproles but their back was up against the wall, so we'll let this one slide and hopefully win in London.

I agree. This Enunwa experiment has failed IMHO. Place kerely back in there in place of Quincy. Jeremy showcased yesterday that he could thrive in this offense. Time to cut the BS and play smart with players that can actually produce.

I don't think anyone is in love with him. First off he is all we have really as a receiving TE. I would more call it intrigue or optimism, especially during training camp. That's what TC is all about for the fans.

Problem is he needs to produce now and it isn't happening. Dropping to many balls and its getting frustrating. I don't know maybe be just needs to settle a bit. Catch the ball first then run. His feet might be getting ahead of his hands abit.

Some Jet fans are funny. They expect a new player to come in and be Dez Bryant from day one. Has Enunma dropped some balls? Yes. But he is improving weekly with experience and is a much, much better blocker than Kerley will ever be. Give it time Jet Fans. Some players need to get experience before they can flash. He's not the problem with the offense. The problem is an offensive line that has not been run blocking well and a QB with limited skills.

Agree. Is Kerley a better WR at this point, absolutely but Enunwa brings another dimension - potentially and is a above average blocker at the position. Plus he is a kid who is learning, you can't cut bait at this point with him.

I can see why the coaching staff likes him, and feels as though they can correct the hands issue. We'll see. I posted his draft profile courtesy of the NFL combine website.

"Analysis

Strengths Looks the part with terrific size, long arms and an NFL musculature. Can elevate and snatch throws above his head. Strong after the catch. Sheer size and brawn to block out corners outside. Has hustle traits. Knows where the sticks are and is very football smart. Excellent intangibles -- team captain with a professional approach and leadership traits. Was a 21-year-old senior.

Weaknesses Lacks elite top-end speed to separate vertically. Shows some hip tightness. Is not fluid or sudden out of breaks (wastes steps). Not a natural catcher -- lets throws into his body, double catches some and drops catchable throws.

Draft Projection Priority free agent

Bottom Line Big, tough, athletic, West Coast receiver who broke out as a senior. Has a mixture of "Z" and "X" traits and could even be viewed as a developmental H-back prospect. "

Old news but a friend who is a huge Nebraska fan told me after we drafted Quincy Enunwa 6'2"/225 that he won't make it in the NFL as a WR because he's too heavy and has terrible hands. He was team captain and a good kid, and might make it as a H-back but not WR.

Guys for someone with terrible hands... he made a helluva nice catch on a ball thrown behind him late in the game... He is raw...Jerry rice had terrible hands and his first year he led the league in drops.... This can be improved with reps and work... That's on Enunwa... The kid is a mismatch nightmare at H-back... so lets hope he works on his hands..

here is a link to the catch from Joe Caporoso's Twitter... If you aren't already, you guys should follow him... has some good stuff on there breaking down the Jets everyday:

Yeah, he dropped some passes, but it is still early in his career. He made some nice ones on sunday as well. A work in progress. He is not going to be a Calvin Johnson type, but he seems to be improving, at least a little. Jury's still out for me, but he needs to be more reliable for sure.

Enunwa, get a few more weeks to see if it's just nerves, or if he has hands of stone.

Hill used to make a circus catch from time to time, then drop 4 in a row. Can't be a clutch WR, if you don't catch the ball 99% of the time

Enunwa has a desirable size/speed ratio and it looks like he runs good routes and gets open. Granted he has to do a better job catching the ball or nothing else matters, but the ceiling is high and its too soon to give up on him.

Yes, but if the drops keep coming over the next few games, I'd bench him
