Some guy on the Titans wore patriotic cleats with the Twin Towers on them, and Stars and Stripes as a backdrop. The league forbids any uniform modifications, and made it clear that it would be punishable with a fine.

A police union in NYC told him they'd pay the fine for him.

I love reading stories like this.
