A tale of two franchises

So Pats fans are dancing in the streets about winning to get to 6-4. Jets fans are acting like it's the Gase days, or worse yet Kotite, because the team dropped to 6-4.

How much does this speak VOLUMES about the two franchises right now? It wasn't that long ago that Patriots fans would consider being 6-4 after 10 games to be a lost season. And it was even more recent that Jets fans would consider 6-4 to be amazing.

Just think about the state of both franchises based on the moods today. Jets fans expectations have soared, and Pats fans expectations have plummeted.

I'm not sure the Pats are rebuilding. When was the teardown? They reached on a guard in the late first to fill a void. They're just trying to stay relevant.

I think they bottomed out the first covid year with Cam Newton. All the good players sat out for covid so they kinda stunk. Then , of course , add in brady going to a stacked tompa team where no one sat out and he brought in groin on top of it. That had to kill belichick. Made everyone think that brady was the reason for the super bowls and belichick was a loser.

watching this season and our 2 games against him, turns out belichick still knows what he’s doing even without brady. That said, bradys still going 11-5 in the awful nfc and of course will be back in another Super Bowl. Too many good players on that team and not enough good players anywhere in the NFC. But, I digress…

It works that way most of the time but the bruins in hockey won then rebuilt without bottoming out. Same with the baseball cards. The FB Cards won in 47 & have been bottoming out since

But the minute the team overachieves with a dominant defense, the QB is expected to elevate his game to the same level. And if he doesn’t, it’s “bench his ass!, cut him!, draft another developmental QB next year!, play Flacco or White because that will be much better”.

That’s why fans don’t make decisions for this team. Thank God

you do realize jet fans regardless of how much you want to blame your own had nothing to do with where wilson is today.. absolutely nothing..

wilson's starting status/career with the jets is at risk because that's how the organization feels..

what, you think saleh was crazy late to his presser because he was glued to jet social media?!

Not trying to start a negative debate here or be negative towards you but you DAMN RIGHT we want it both ways. Especially in a situation like this. This team is playoff ready! Even with all the injuries. No one is asking Zach to be Herbert or Mahomes or Marino or Cam Newton or Burrow. QBs that all came out as rookies and lit it up with no hestitation.

They just wanted him to be a consistent game manager and not mess it up. That’s all he had to do. Not turn the ball over or not as much, make the smart play, throw it away or run for a few yards and slide or run out of bounds. Take the smart sacks. Complete the easy passes and see the easy reads. If that’s to hard to ask at this point then you damn right it is a problem!

If this team was still horrible like it was last year then this would be ALOT more except able but there not. Then you have his post game conference statements which absolutely did it for me! His play has been bad enough but with these comments and this attitude, something has to be done. Whether he sits a game or the rest of the season, something has to be done!

I think Wilson lost Saleh, as well, with his lack of accountability. And if he didn't, he lost his defense and his WRs. That alone is reason enough for him to lose his starting spot.

As much as you want him to succeed, you have to realize he is the problem, not the answer. IMHO I feel like most of the others on the board its time to cut bait and start looking for another QB. We have a talented Defense, RB's, WR's and just need to work on the Offensive line.

Well, according to Saleh, that’s not happening. Nor should it. Fans always pull the trigger much quicker than most GM’s. You don’t bail on the kid this quickly. Wilson’s days are not over with this team. He’s getting at least one more extended opportunity.

He will be given the chance to earn that opportunity. He hasn't earned it yet.
