I am going to say this again for all you dimwits on here:
Year one was assessing our roster, seeing which players will convert to the type of team AG wanted to run, he inherited a mixed bag of players. After the season they traded and not resigned some players that do not incorporate the type of players that would fit this new scheme.
Year two bringing in a mixed bag of veterans and draft accordingly to input his scheme which we switched from a 4-3 to 3-4 defense. trading away Sauce Gardner who is currently struggling in Indy. Q Williams who also is struggling in Dallas. let players walk who are playing with other teams some succeeding some failing.
Year three after having one full season with all the draft picks we selected in AG's year two which technically is his first full season running the team as he wants it to be, opens the door to continue to remodel of the roster. With a full fledged of RBs WRs and TEs and a stable OL, the only thing we are missing is a young signal caller to take the helm. Our defense is not perfect but has a stable of youth that will introduce some more youth in this upcoming draft to mix in with the baseline we currently have. Expect more competitive play but they will have a better grasp on how to finish.
To dump a coach after year two is pathetic that is what we do, we don't give them time to reset the roster to what they need it to be. Our team has been competitive down to the wire, either penalties or lack of execution costs us games. Omar Cooper Jr. is the real deal. Adonai Mitchell showing he can be a top tier receiver along with Garrett Wilson, if or when Breece Hall comes back paired with Braelon Allen when could we have ever said in the last twenty years we have had 3 WRs, 2 RBs, 3 TEs and a stable OL? I will wait...
G. I respect your opinion but disagree with you on keeping Glenn.
You are right the core is there but Glenn is not the guy to take them to the next level.
We said the thing about Saleh.
I didn't want him fired because of the same reasons you're saying for Glenn.
You how this goes.
The Jets are going to be saying, like they always do:
"We are just a QB away from contention"
Especially if they draft that young QB and He isn't ready.
Then comes the trade for the used up Veteran.
Who will it be this time?
Lamar Jackson?
Jalen Hurts?
I wouldn't be this gung ho to fire Glenn if McDermott wasn't available.
I watch Glenn's D with the Lions the whole time he was there.
I wasn't impressed then and I am not impressed now.
You have to break ties with the past to kill the curse.
Glenn must go.
