Yea, i know of no Pats fan that is defending Hernandez either. there was a case where someone showed up to the trial with a jersey (don't remember if it was a Pats jersey or a Bruins jersey) and yelled Go Pats! That was prob a ploy to get out of the jury.

No matter where you go you're bound to find a couple of morons. It's actually hard to wrap your mind around how this guy could do what he did. Just think, your a pro-athlete with god given talent that allows you to play the greatest game in the world on it's biggest stage, you've just signed a huge contract, you and your family are set for life, and what do you decide to do? You decide to kill a man in cold blood because he disrespected you???

Life behind bars for life is OK, but Capital punishment would be much better. Why do American tax payers have to pay for an animal like this, to live and enjoy life behind bars when he's murdered several people ?

Utah is the only State in this Country that is handling Capital punishment the correct way, by giving the convicted murderer 3 options. Lethal injection, hanging, or firing squad. Scum like Hernandez, Charles Manson, the Colorado movie theater nut case and hundreds more serving life don't deserve to be living. Execute their ass !

Thats an honest response and I respect that answer.

As for your question, no, I don't think you can ever anticipate someone will flush his NFL career and life down the toilet by killing someone. You can know he's a bad guy and figure the reward outweighs the risk in RD 4, but you can't figure the risk includes first degree murder!
