I think you are on the right track with this statement .........sort of.......... I don't think the Jets are in a horrible situation. It's certainly not great but also not horrible. There is a lot of young talent on this team with some of it in danger of being lost in free agency. After hearing this weeks presser from Glenn and Mouge I believe that they intend to do as much as they can to retain any of the free agents that fit into their plans. They as much as said that. They also said that they are comfortable with their cap space which would indicate that they are confident that they have the funds to add to the team in spots they want to fill. The most notable area of deficiency that probably lead to you using the term horrible is the QB position. You're right. That's a sad situation but I'm guessing that they intend to create a bridge using Tyrod and another QB from free agency with a rookie, or Travis, sort of a rookie, learning behind them. Just a guess and that's because there just are not many other options out there as far as franchise QBs are concerned. Some of last seasons player deficiencies were results of poor coaching and poor play calling. Hopefully this new staff can correct that. I'm going to remain hopeful that that is the case at least until I see how training camp goes.
