There is the hope, I believe, in the front office that Rogers, if he comes here, can perform a miracle and turn Zach into the QB that they thought he was when they drafted him. I can see the possibility of that but I have a hard time convincing myself that he could really pull it off.

What it boils down to, the realization that he won one Lombardi not factoring in even the Jets roster vs. the Packers' rosters when a Brady came to Tampa Bay with 6 . We poor Jets fans put hope over reality. Oh, he showed decline at 39 more rapidly than Brady who first showed a slowing down at 44 which might have been his off the field problems integrating in his play.

You didn't mention in the last 2of the last 3 seasons he played cat and mouse with the Packers as he is doing to the Jets now.
As each day passes when I was finally leaning towards Rodgers, he is at the same time leading me to explore certain possibilites involving this guy. You feel like investing a ton of money for a year? Not I as a fan. I'd rather have at this point a QB who can protect the ball, manage a game and put those monies into some unfilled holes that possibly could be for a longer picture than Rodgers. Glad we can differ in opinions or even change said ones.
I think the narrative about him playing cat-and-mouse with the Jets is a bit overplayed. Why did it have to be done already? Because Jets fans are impatient? That's not a good enough reason.
Now, if it begins to negatively impact the Jets' actual offseason moves, when they can do something, that's different. But as of right now, the only thing hurt are Jets fans' feelings.
You might be right as I'm one of the Jets fans who is beginning to feel played. I realize he is within the legal time window, but to me the exposure of the situation is hitting the emotions of many Jets fans. Thus far, he hasn't shown enough in 18 years persona wise, to defend his every move in my opinion. He's a talented football player wrapped up in a nutbag .

That he did something out of the box (OK, literally IN the box) that a lot of people found odd didn't help his case with a fan base most known for swigging beers and chanting at the girls on the runways at the old stadium.
