There appears to be a fascination with trading up to #1 or #2 to nab THE QB. I just don't see how that's going to help the Rams or Eagles. The Eagles have holes all over their roster and it's senseless to me to give up so many picks for a guy like Goff (or Wentz). Let's look at the last time a team traded the house for their guy. The 2012 draft included:
#1 Luck - Starter
#2 Griffin - STINKS
#8 Tannenhill - STINKS
#22 Weeden - STINKS
#57 Osweiller - ???
#75 R. Wilson - Super Bowl Winner
#88 Foles - Backup
#102 Cousins - STARTER
So despite giving up the farm, the Skins struck out on RG III and actually drafted their current starter in round 4. Of all of these guys only a third round choice has taken his team to the holy land.
Between Cook, Hackenberg, Prescott, Lynch and Sudfeld at least one of them will be better than Goff or Wentz. Keep your picks and knock the draft out of the park. And trade Mo for more picks!
