here's the problem..
i have a very hard time not believing every team left on the schedule can't wait to get there shot at us.....

I don't know, Elias... As you say the schedule gets much easier and I agree with that, but wouldn't that tend to cloud the issues with this team and the CS? Todd Bowles has already proven that he can beat losing teams. But is that what we as Jets fans are looking for? To beat losing teams and get humiliated when we face good teams?
I want to see the Jets beat winning teams. I want this team to prove that it go into any game and actually remain competitive and often pull out the victory. The Jets currently do not that. The Jets beat one winning team last season and they have yet to beat a winning team this season.
Assuming you are right and they won tonight, I want them to beat the Patsies twice and beat the Colts. After tonight I figure NE and Indy are the only decent teams left on the schedule. Anything short of beating them can only make you wonder, "Is Todd Bowles the right guy for this job"? I say NO right now. I just don't see a guy that can motivate players, strategize within the game, manage the clock, correctly utilize players and put them in position to succeed.
P.S. I can't see the Jets beating Baltimore in two weeks either. Baltimore was a pretty bad team last season, but that's not the normal for the Ravens. They had so many injuries they just couldn't field a competitive team. This season the Ravens have all of their players back and healthy. I think they'll make easy work out of the Jets...

At the beginning of the season, I felt that you could look at the first seven games of the season as an indicator of where the Jets would be. I felt if they made it to 4-3, they were legit contenders, 3-4 and they would be on pace, anything below that would be unacceptable.

Haha, as long as Gailey-Fitz- & no balls Bowles are on Jets Roster we might get 1 more win this season. Top it off after last nights score & handing out hard hits in 4th ..I expect a lot of Jets being injured after scores run up in 4th. Cant allow teams to hit our guys like that & go unanswered after running up the score. Bowles balls sucked up inside him & his former team showed they have ZERO respect for him & Jets by the score & knock out blow in 4th. FIRE BOWLES-GAILEY-FITZ.
Get rid of everyone! Then let's fire their replacements! Fire the next GM/HC!
It's the model set forth by winning organizations. They always change their GMs and head coaches to keep the organization fresh and new. Just look at Pittsburgh, or the Patriots. Constantly changing coaches and front offices.
Half the reason the Jets never put it all together is the fan base. There is never any patience that would allow for a long-term plan.

There is absolutely NO case that you could make for Todd Bowles being part of a long term plan. He's garbage and it's obvious...
My point is:
1. This constant turnover does not do the franchise any favors.
2. No coach or front office can ever truly succeed here because the fans aren't patient enough to ever let them build a foundation, and
3. If Bowles goes, I'm OK with that, but he needs to be replaced by Mac's choice.
We need some level of stability on some level eventually. This constant wave of immediate huge expectations and desire to fire everyone any time the team loses a couple games is a formula for long-term failure.

but i'm in full agreement with maine on this one..
under no circumstances do i see bowles being our long term answer for us.. off the top of my head, i can't name one thing i believe he's been even average at as a head coach.. but i can name a bunch of things he's been absolutely awful at though.....
