All Joe Douglas CB acquisitions & they’re balling out

Just a reminder on how young and where our CBs were drafted

- Bryce Hall 23 (5th Round Pick) 16th rated CB in the league 73.8 rating

- Brandin Echols 23 (6th Round Pick) 41st rated CB in the league 56.6 rating

- Michael Carter II 22 (5th Round Pick) 19th rated CB in the league 72.8 rating

- Javelin Guidry 23 (UDFA) 27th rated CB in the league 62.7 rating

- Isaiah Dunn 22 (UDFA) welp limited action has the best PFF rating of 89.1 - if he had the snaps of Hall or Echols, Dunn would be number 1 in the league by 4.2

- Jason Pinnock 22 (5th Round Pick) Hasn't really gotten defensive snaps to showcase his ability because the above guys are balling out.. Last year in college his PFF rating was 67.2 not too shabby

when you bring the pressure up front it protects your secondary. Saleh/JD knew they didn't have to overspend on CBs if they could get the front to bring heat and shorten their time exposed.

All that said, Bryce Hall is panning out nicely - it was a smart gamble on a guy who might've gone 2nd/3rd round of healthy at the time. He's the real key back there propping them up.

I know he's not a CB, but I'm interested to see what Ashtyn Davis can do in this system now that we are so depleted at the safety spot. Great athlete but raw last year. Perhaps the year watching has taken the edge off the rawness.

he played CB, NB and Safety in college...

in our defense he would be a nickel linebacker he has the size and cover ability...

Neasman & Colbert taking the brunt of the snaps at safety with Maye out... They did deploy Davis some wonder if they have a specific view on him...

Davis is a pick that needs to pan out.....he saw something and if there is anything there - Saleh/Ulbrich will find it.
