Sorry folks it is not the Jets, it is the New England Patriots and to my understanding Robinson is seeking a 4 year deal roughly $90 Million. Coming off a down year it would be risky to sign Allen to that type of contract. The guarantees alone would keep Joe Douglas from going after said free agent. Guarantees on a four year deal of that magnitude would be $50 Million and roughly $40 Million fully guaranteed at signing.
I could be wrong, Allen could be convinced on a prove it deal from elsewhere but this is likely his last chance to really cash in on his open market value.
