Looking at FA rankings, McGovern was ranked higher than Glasgow on the few I saw.

They were quite comparable. McGovern is more of a true C, and he's a year younger. I'd rather have McGovern. So to get him for that price is an absolute steal.

Fair price for Peat. He has ranked top 15 of all o lineman. Essentially a 3 year 33 million dollar deal. 11 million per year. Guards avg 2-3 million per year more than centers in the league now.
Happy with McGovern and Van Roten .2 nice upgrades.

That is a value structure that doesn't make sense at all to me. The two most important players on the OL are LT and C.

I almost agree. The way the Ds move their best pass rushers around,I feel the RT is as important as the LT. Most DCs now attack the QBs right side more often than the ledt.Shorter path to the ball and a hit is to his throwing side. I'd put LT RT then C

I think RT is close to as valuable as LT. The one difference is the blind side. If you have a left-handed QB, then your RT is more important.

That said, C is extremely important. He handles odd-even calls, Mike calls, the entire blocking scheme. He should be your smartest OL.

After all, why do you think when I showed up to my first camp in college, they handed me a ball and told me to learn how to snap? HA!
