You know it's actually very scary to think, but the parallels between Mac and Idzik at this point are very strong?
1) They both saved boat loads of cap space.
2) They both for the most part have done nothing but cut players? Their approach is addition by subtraction?
3) They both stink at drafting? Idzik was horrible for the ages. Mac, although I am reluctant to place him in Idzik's category, has drafted nothing but garbage besides a few nice picks that fell in his lap? Take away Leo and you've pretty much got less than zero from two drafts............
What's different about Mac is that I don't think I've ever seen a GM so poor at drafting linebackers? It's not just Lee that's disappointing. What about Mauldin? What about Jordan Jenkins? What about his FA additions like Erin Henderson or Bruce Carter? None of these players have had any real, true benefit to the team? Not one guy can you say immediately popped in a Jets uniform? Not a single player has turned out to show even a second of flashiness?
