If Bowles' defense is as DB-centric as advertised then I'm not worried about Skrine. He'll play a ton, and is getting paid pretty handsomely.

This would be a great signing!! If we get Cro and Milliner & McDougle can give us anything next season we will be stacked at the position. With Cro's size maybe it's time he pulls Charles Woodson and moves over to FS. We haven't had anyone who could cover at that position since we told Kerry Rhodes to kick rocks.

I'm so happy with our CB moves yesterday, I view Cro Daddy as icing on the cake if it happens.

If he returns to AZ, I'm not gonna lose sleep. Revis Island is back. And between Skrine, Milliner, and McDougle, I'm pretty confident we'll have the other side of the field relatively under control.

I agree with the sentiment, but the way people talk about Bowles system, there is no "other side of the field".

If he likes having 5 DBs back there, I'd love for one of them to have previous experience in the system, if for no other reason than to give everyone else some time to get acclimated. I'd be fine with Cro playing the majority of September/October, then stepping aside as the kids grow into the position.

I won't lose sleep over him either, but I think I'd like to see him here a little more than some random CB signing . . .

hey - have you been following Gilchrist and parker as potential free agents? Do you view them as a need or also icing? I ask because I feel we ned players with their talent to play beside Pryor so he can better develop. Parker and Gilchrist as FS that also play CB in certain packages and both run in the 4.3s and have size (and are 26 or younger). Just wondering your thoughts after yesterday's signings...I can of feel like we need one of those, even with our great Cb additions, to fully round out the secondary and help on gronk and Clay...

I like the cb depth potential, by not going crazy at lb, I'd expect the jets to go cooper/white at 6, and lb in the 2nd. Looks like marriota will be gone before we pick. Which in ok with, I only believe in drafting a1st round qb if you love him abs he's a system fit. Marriota just doesn't quite fit with us. Looks like Washington is going to use the 5 spot to get picks from eagles to rebuild.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets are the "clear leader" to sign free agent Antonio Cromartie.

Darrelle Revis is "recruiting" Cromartie to rejoin him in New York. The Cardinals would like Cromartie back, but they're not going to win this battle.

I read this too and was about to post it. very good sign revis helping recruit talent.

Don't know much about Parker, but Gilchrist is a slight upgrade over Landry, IMO. Our secondary is getting stacked. I think Pryor will be up closer this year to maximize his skill set, so a rangy FS type is welcome in my book. Antonio Allen might work, too.

I think so... Especailly to cover the Hybrid TE guys like Gronk/Thomas/Cameron etc.... It's a passing league... but when you have guys like Cro and Allen that can Cover WR's and TE's.. Combined with the CB's we now have... Imagine what our DL and LB's will be able to do now.

We really need some LB's who can cover and rush. Our front line is completely dominant but we are missing speed edge rushers

...except that Cro is allergic to tackling. Something safeties have to do well.
