Any chance Bryce Petty can become the next Aaron Rodgers?

Man Rodgers is special. His quick release is like Marino's, accuracy like Montana, a rocket arm like Moon, he moves like Elway, intelligence like Manning and toughness like Farve. He can make most average players into pro bowlers and bad players to good ones. All QBs need talented players to help them but players like Rodgers, Brady, Marino and Elway for example can make lemonade damn near without lemons. Man if only Petty can come anywhere close and we will have us a hell of a QB.

Based on what you say here, I would say no, it is pretty unlikely that Petty will be like Rodgers. But I love the lemons thing!

"Lots of people make lemonade when life gives them lemons. But when life gives you NO lemons, and you STILL make lemonade, that's special."

Oooh that hurt but could very well be true. Man I hope your wrong. We'll we all do and I'm sure you feel the same.

So do I, buddy, so do I. I am optimistic, but I am also a realist and that fact is hard to deny.

Jared Goff looks like a top 3 pick. He's looking like the real deal. No way the Jets have a chance at him. The Jets will win too many games.

As much as i like Goff, i'am strongly leaning towards Chad Kelly from Ole Miss. This kid is as strong as they come. Great arm strength, excellent accuracy and very mobile. Jim's Nephew IMHO is the real deal.

If it were up to me, i firmly believe Kelly will have a more promising future than Goff. Though since he's a junior, i think he may stay another year. The kid has amazing potential.

I'd still take a QB with our first pick if one fell into our laps. Heck I would trade up for one if need be.

Your a smart guy. The Patriots had 3 QB's and had just signed Bledsoe to a big bonus. They took Brady and kept all 4 QB's through the next year. You hate Belichick, good for you, but every year, he sifts through players looking for gold and every year that bastid finds it. Fans here sign someone and sit back on the couch to see if he pans out.
I'd take 2 more QB's next year and sift through all of them, keep the pressure on Petty and you might find someone better. That's what that bastid in New England.

yep has nothing to do with cheating at all. Anyone can find gold if they cheat the system a 7th rounder would work good in a cheating system

Don't know about Aaron Rogers, but he has the potential to be a very good QB
HYATT™ agrees, that Rodgers kid has the potential to be a very good QB.
Now, if he'd just take a few chances once in a while and quit worrying so much about getting a ding in his shiny new LowINTmobile, he'd be a GREAT QB.

As an old-timer let me clue y'all in on a couple of things.
1.) Aaron Rodgers is not the 2nd coming any more than Steve Young was when he played in Trampa.
2.) A COMBINATION of McCarthy's offensive system, (ala Hoodie in NE), a "critical mass" of 7-9 receiving talents spread across all 3 skill positions, (WR, TE, & RB), & the absolute best possible initiation into the NFL QB role a prospect could ever have hoped for - ALL combined to produce what you see happening in Green Bay these days.

In order for Bryce Petty to follow in those footsteps, he'd need about 3 years sitting behind a Top-10 QB and learning defensive reads without paying the price of instruction ON the field, (ala David Carr), & a plethora of receiving talents, (which the Jets are still far short of with only Marshall, Decker, Q., & Kerley, even in the Top-100 receiving to date.
(Smith is at #101, with 53 yards & Ivory-12/Powell-88 have just 100 yards between them.)
Yes, that's right, Q.-77 is actually ahead of Kerley-33 in receiving yards.
Cumberland is T-64th place among all TEs in the NFL - i.e., the question is not whether every team has TWO TEs better than Cumberland but do some have THREE?

Even WITH those advantages, he'd still have to display the same level of football I.Q. Rodgers has so far.
So the short answer would be - NO - Petty will not ever be Aaron Rodgers good.
Without all three of the advantages previously listed, even Aaron Rodgers could never be as good as Aaron Rodgers.
