I just started the last season of TMITHC. I don't know anything about Carnival Row. I'll look into it.
High Castle gets you hooked fast with disturbing images of American life under Nazi and Japanese rule. Stellar performances by Rufus Sewell and Alexa Davalos. I will say that IMO the first and last seasons are the best. A little meandering in seasons two and three.
Carnival row is another series set in a dystopian world where fantasy characters such as fairies exist. Orlando Bloom is fantastic in it, as is Cara Delevingne. Not a perfect show, but absolutely gorgeous art direction/visuals and a very interesting story.
Also, not sure if you've seen the series, but Black Mirror is a must watch, especially the first two seasons. It's visionary creator, Charlie Brooker, succeded in making a Twilight Zone for this generation. Without a shred of exaggeration, the "White Christmas" episode is one of the finest pieces of television I've ever seen (it would have made Rod Serling proud). Spectacularly brilliant, as are lots of other episodes in the series.
