Can't find the original thread started a while back by Superman. Some interesting news lately. There are people calling for Matt Ryan's head in Atlanta. Although the owner still supports him, it won't be long until they make that bad mistake.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank said the team "absolutely" still has confidence in Matt Ryan.
"He's absolutely the competitor that I want. He's what we look for and our team looks for the whole way," coach Dan Quinn said. The Falcons are saying all the right things, but the real story is that they need to be said at all. Ryan was never a question mark even through the dark years of the Mike Smith era, but he has made multiple mistakes in important situations the last several weeks. His play is one of the big reasons Atlanta has lost five of the last six including four in a row. If the Falcons are going to turn this around and nab a playoff spot, Ryan will have to stop making costly mistakes down the stretch.

The reason for this is their Offensive Coordinator. Kyle Shannahan has been an awful hiring. Only reason I am glad that Quinn hasn't been coach here. Shannahan has been a qb killer. I didn't realize how bad it was until this article.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports "barring any significant changes" Brock Osweiler will be the Broncos' starting quarterback the remainder of the season for "however long it goes."

The Broncos' official Twitter account immediately shot down the report, saying "no decision has been made beyond this week, contrary to speculation from Bleacher Report." Cole left the door ajar for Peyton Manning (foot) to retake the job if Osweiler "struggles significantly." But based on the way the offense has played since Osweiler's insertion and Manning's league-high 17 interceptions, it'd be awfully tough to go back to the 39-year-old.

The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reports the Dolphins "have interest" in Saints coach Sean Payton, Bengals OC Hue Jackson, and UCLA coach Jim Mora for their head-coaching vacancy.

Payton is reportedly seriously considering leaving the Saints at season's end amid the legal drama with the team's ownership situation. Once/if he does depart, there will be no shortage of suitors lining up to talk to him after he and Drew Brees pulled the Saints out of the gutter post-Hurricane Katrina. Hue Jackson also figures to be very likely to land a head-coaching gig, while Mora has long been mentioned among NFL circles after spending the past four years at UCLA.

Thoughts on this guys? I don't want to see another SB winning coach in our division.

The Bills can save $12.9 million against the salary cap by releasing LE Mario Williams in the offseason.

Williams is having the worst season of his career in coach Rex Ryan's defense with just three sacks across 10 games. He's near the bottom of the list among 4-3 ends in Pro Football Focus' pass-rush productivity score. Williams turns 31 next month and has two years left on his six-year contract.

Might be work a look as a LB. He excelled under Schwartz but has not looked good under Rex because Rex has him dropping back into coverage. Not sure the many differences between Bowles's scheme and Rex's but if the money is right, I do not mind taking a shot at Mario Williams. Could be cheaper than Mo.
